Difficult to setup as Access Point on existing (Virgin) Home Network
This is a great router to extend the range, speed and concurrent clients on a home network (VirgiinMedia in my case), but getting there was tricky: It is counter intuitive to connect your existing network (as per setup guide) to the WAN port of the AX50, but that’s what you must do (normally you would connect switches and extenders to a LAN port). I was replacing an on TP-Link N600 router. The AX50 is connected to the internet using the Tether App, and scanning the barcode under the AX50 to connect. I setup a password, entered the required static IP address, subnet mask, gateway, DNS servers, etc as prompted and sure enough “Success message” I was connected to the internet. Initially everything looked fine, but I soon realised it was not. WiFi devices worked, but IP cameras with static IP addresses were not. The second PC was working, but couldn’t map drives from the “server”. Media players (e.g. PLEX and my Pioneer Media Player) could access any media from the PC.I was not on the correct subnet, so couldn’t share media and access other devices. Also I could not access the AX50 with the IP address I has assigned it and http://tplinkwifi.net didn’t work. I was finally able to connect to the AX50 Web interface from my Android Smartphone by clicking “Manage Router” from the WiFi settings. Once you can access the AX50 Web interface you can switch to Access Point Mode and disable DHCP. Then the router reboots and everything is almost perfect. Now, everything works fine. I can stream multiple video security cameras (one at the far end on the garden). We can also stream a movie while on a Zoom meeting. Performance is so good, I decided it was better to disable the VirginMedia Router’s WiFi and only use the AX50 for the whole house. The only remaining problem is there is a red light on the front of the AX50. This is because WAN port cannot access the internet. However, you do have internet through the gateway, and also by using the WAN port as a LAN port, you effectively have an extra LAN port, so overall I am very happy. This is a great router, and my old problems with flaky connectivity with iPlayer, Zoom and Web Cameras disconnecting are gone. I just wish the setup was better!

'Works out of the box' but it actually does!
With setting up internet, there are always complications. I was dreading upgrading my home internet because I know just how much of a pain it always is. However with this, it honestly is the only WiFi product I've bought that has simply worked straight away. No hassle, just downloaded the Tether app, follow the easy instructions and boom! You're online.I bought a cheap BT modem from amazon for £15 as before my super-router was wired in through the phoneline. I bought this to upgrade my ISP (talk talk super router) as I would get poor to no signal in almost all areas of my house. My speed hardwired in would read at about 55 mbps down, but with any wireless device would be 2/3. After installing this, I went up to my wired speed on my wireless devices. One thing to note for anyone ordering this outside the EU (I'm in England) it doesn't ship with a UK power adapter. So if you are ordering this in the UK, make sure you have either your own power adapter, or you have a EU/UK adapter. Other than that, I couldn't be happier! Also came a day earlier than described!

EU plug only
I am using this router as an access point, making use of ethernet cable that runs from our BT Homehub router to the other end of the house. The setup was reasonably straightforward using the Tether app.The reason for 4 rather than 5 stars was the absence of a UK plug. This was not clear from the description and although some of the reviews pointed this out, some rather implied that the AX10 would arrive with a UK adapter which would have been OK. But no UK power supply and no UK adapter. Disappointing.

Works great as an access point for low latency gaming
I bought this to use as an access point for wireless pcvr gaming via the Quest 2. The performance has been great provided you have set this and your Quest 2 settings up optimally. Wireless VR gaming really is next level and so it's time for the RiftS to go.

Excellent parental controls
Easy to set up, Wi-Fi coverage is good, best priced Wi-Fi 6 I found. Parental controls are excellent, you can easily block websites or streaming sites for individual devices, also set time limits. A must for parents/guardians who want to control children's access to the internet.

Excellent router. We'll worth the price paid.
Works very well. Better signal in my experience than the wifi 5 variety I had from Asus rt-ac88u which kept dropping. Would definitely recommend for small to medium homes.

EU plug!
Third party seller but fulfilled by Amazon UK and with nothing to the contrary in the information or specs of the item listing on Amazon or on the box when it arrived, it came with an EU plug and not a UK 3 pin plug. Can’t offer any review of its performance as I sent it back.
