When looking for wooden toys I was pleased to find these. When I got them I was very disappointed to realize the wheels are plastic and the windshield is a sticker (that started to peel around the edges less than a week after play). It's odd because the side windows are painted on. The paint on the cars was far from polished when we got them each car had a discoloration or chipped spot or two. Overall the cars themselves were a good size and weight for my little ones hands. He enjoys playing with them.. I decided to keep them because the price wasn't bad & my son will just bang them around anyway (which he has for about 6 months and they are pretty much in the same condition as I received them. So they are holding up) and looking for a better yet comparable item seemed of a headache then keeping them even though they had some aspects of wasn't pleased with.

I purchased these as a cake decoration for my son’s birthday cake. They are adorably vintage looking BUT the front ends of them are all very boring. The sides are nice with painted windows, but from the front end you get one little square for a windshield and nothing else. No headlights. No grille. No turn signals to speak of. It’s literally just one box they bothered to paint on for the windshield. So they were a terrible cake decoration and I ended up just giving them to him. He enjoys rolling them around but not as much as his regular hot wheels. I think most kids prefer the sound of metal or plastic when playing with cars. I like the fact that they’re wood but he doesn’t care. Because of the lack of detail I don’t recommend.
