OK read
Something about this story just didn’t resonate with me. I read a lot, probably 2-3 books per week and the story quality I just found lacking.

Banks Book Good, Other One Not So Much
This is a compilation of two books. I decided to give the overall rating to just the Maya Banks book because I liked it so much and I actually purchased it for that novel. The other book was so unimpressive that I didn't want to rank the Banks book lower because of it.THE BRIDE by Maya Banks: This is the second book in the Anetakis Tycoons series about three Greek brothers. This is the story of Theron Anetakis who has decided to settle down with an appropriate woman and have a family. He ends up having to take responsibility for Isabella Caplan who is a ward of a sort of his family (they are managing her trust). While Theron wants to consider Bella a child that he remembers, she refuses to allow him to see her that way. Bella has come to New York with a purpose: to seduce Theron, the man she has loved for years. I really liked this story. It is a series romance so it is not deep, but I loved the sassy determined Bella. The story is a bit predictable, but the characters make up for it. Rating: 4 stars.IN A RICH MAN'S WORLD by Carol Marinelli: Amelia Jacobs is a celebrity reporter looking to become a business reporter. When she gets the assignment of meeting and reporting on Vaughan Mason, it goes so poorly that Amelia thinks her career is over. Instead, she ends up being invited to travel with Vaughan and ends up falling in love with him. When she finds out that her newspaper has been lying to her it is too late to save her relationship with Vaughan. I wanted to like this story. The setup was interesting, but I never felt a connection between the characters. I was completely annoyed with how Amelia blames Vaughan for not trusting her when she did the identical thing to him and never apologized! The resolution was too quick and I ended up disliking the book. Rating: 1.5 stars.

No comparison the the first book in this series.
Unfortunately, this 2nd book did not compare to the first. I read the first book in 2 sittings and couldn't put it down. I struggled just to finish this one. If you like strictly romance with not alot else going on, this might be for you.

Enjoyable love story
Very enjoyable story which is a continuation of the loves of the Anetakis men as they meet their destined brides. This is the story of Theron and his bride Isabella Caplan. Theron is very old school greek and had plans to marry someone who he had chosen and have a family as he wanted to settle down like his brother Crysander. He had made arrangements to ask a friend who he knew would provide a good home and the children he wanted and arranged for her and her mother to come to New York so he could propose. Isabella comes into the picture in that she is the ward of Crysander who has Theron handle her financial affairs and care as he cannot leave the island to handle with his son's recent birth. Isabella has always loved Theron since she was very young and is a very independent, drive woman who knows what she wants and she wants Theron. Story progresses with her attempts to seduce Theron drive him crazy, totally turn his world upside down from its well laid out planned existence. Isabella is a really fun character and constantly gets in trouble, just what Theron needs as he is initially very staid. I really enjoyed the characters of Theron and Bella. This is a good series. Recommend.

Two very satisfying stories
The description in the synopsis doesn’t make it clear but what you are buying is two novellas, each by a different author. The author’s styles are similar enough that they fit well together. Although they were both long novella length, neither felt rushed or lacking. Certainly well worth the current price, which is under $4.The Bride is the story that the synopsis describes. The only thing that kept this from being a five star read for me was the fact that Bella repeatedly jumped to conclusions and refused to listen when someone was trying to explain a situation to her. She frustrated me a bit.In a Rich Man’s World is about a female reporter who does an in depth gossip column, except it isn’t gossip. She gets a chance to do a story about a rich man, who’s famous for being a playboy and a bit of a cold fish. Once again, the author relied on the hasty assumption and refusal to listen to an explanation, by both protagonists. Without that, it would have been 4.5 stars. There were a couple of minor editing issues.

The Bride ...
The Anetakis Tycoons book2. Another great book in this series. Theron is total alpha and a tad old fashioned. He inherits a ward and in comes Isabella young fresh and so not old fashioned. She has her heart set on Theron and so the games begin. This book is sexy, funny, passionate and heartfelt.

Sweet Romance
I enjoyed this book. I just thought that Isabella (Bella) is betrayed too young. She’s treated as a ward but she is 22 years old. Loved that she’s always loved Theron. But he has plans to marry Alannis, but can he fight his attraction to Bella? When she eavesdrops on him talking to his brother, she’s heartbroken, can she fix things? Will he realize he loves Bella or is he too late? I recommend this book and I loved all three in this series.

The Bride: In the Rich Man's World
I bought this book cause I love both authors. In this story (part 2 of 3 in the Anetakis Tycoons) Theron take over from his brother in New York. He also takes over Isabella (who's father was his father's bf and both are dead) She wants him, he wants a marriage of convience. Who will win? In great Banks stories there are always HEA.In the case of "In the Rich Man's World" by Carol Marinelli: Amilia is a reporter who gets the honor of interviewing Vaughan for her paper. He is impressed with her and takes her with him during some talks...he wants her in his bed. This story has a few twists but in Marinelli fashion all is not lost.

The Tycoon's Rebel Bride
This is not the usual book from Maya Banks, but is a "watered down" version of her usual writing style. But none the less an enjoyable book.Isabella Caplan was previously the ward of Chyrsander Anetakis but following the take-over of his role within the Anetakis Empire by his brother Theron, this role has now been passed onto Theron.Theron is a very straight-laced, no-nonsense man. His has his life mapped out - marriage and family and an "acceptable" life. That is until Bella makes a re-appearance in his life. Bella has had a crush on Theron since she was a young girl and has decided she will make Theron fall in love with her and she will be his future! She turns Theron's life around and shows him life can be unplanned and exciting and that all things are subject to change. As the previous reviewers have said, this book was better and more believable than Book 1 - hopefully Book 3 will be even better.

Better than the first Anetakis tale, and rather strangely believable!
This is a Silhouette book, which dictates that it won't contain the hot sex scenes that I expect from MB in her erotica/romantica lines. The first tale in this new series was ok, this was better, as it was a fun tale, with a slightly older male lead being made to 'lighten-up' when he falls for the younger, fun female lead. Some hot sex, but not many scenes, and it was very 'vanilla' as you'd expect. I will be getting the third in the trilogy when it comes out.

Better than Mistress but still not great
This was better than Mistress but May December love stories are not my thing. There's a third book in this series, hopefully it'll be better.

:-)
What can I say, I enjoy this lady and her writing. I have read all the books in this series way before it became one. I have reread them a few time because the story line is so good. It is a must read for those that love romance and conflict at its best.
