Deflecto Supurr Guard Louvered Dryer Vent Hood with Pipe and Collar, White and Silver, 4” (GVHAW4)

I have purchased several of these. I used them for the dryer vent and the bathroom vent. Easy and simple to install and they work well. Once on a while I take off the bird guard and clean the whole thing. I then just snap the bird guard back on. The two flapper is better than the three flapper. The three flapper (not this one) may get stuck open as the flapper has less weight.

Replace the broken dryer vent cover took the old one out the new one slipped right into my old pipe installed four screws clip the outside cover on and I was done

The plastic bird screen, and dampers are pretty solid, but the sheetmetal round duct sleeve gauge is very light, and could be more substantial. Suggest ordering a separate, more robust sleeve so that your dryer flexible duct has something more solid to be connected to. Overall, not a bad value.

I ended up having to hire someone to install it as hole had to be cut through wall and all. But looks nice and works great. Make sure you put it high so lawnmower does not knock it off and keep animals out.

This was very easy to put in All by myself as I already had hole in wall!! I find the basket which I feel is designed to keep birds.critters out works great an @ the same time keeps the lint inside the basket /I use toothpicks to clean the basket since we had no rain all summer I just found it’s tuffer trying to remove wet lint -

Great kit for the price. The Vent itself is well made and included the louvered face with animal shield. Easy to install and looks great! Highly recommended.

It will be much easier to run to your local hardware shop, Menards, Home Depot, etc. This product can be found in a dozen places close to you. I actually had to put it together myself and use reinforcements from my own toolbox. Don't be fooled by the pictures, it's pretty flimsy and didn't impress me at all.

The vent was easy to install, works well, took paint very nicely and looks good overall. The only reason for the 4 star rating was due to the metal of the tube/pipe portion is too thin. Because the guage isn't heavy enough the seam would not stay together once inserted into the galvanized pipe (both were the correct size and were inserted properly) without first wrapping it in metallic tape.

I bought 3 of these to replace my old ones. It was kind of easy to install but they could have provided more instructions. The foil tube seems to require you to fold the edges toward the center/inside for it to snap into place.I had to remove one of the flaps and ended up breaking it (the plastic axis) when inserting it back, so be careful if you need to do that as well. I fixed it making a hole and inserting a rigid metal in the hole with some glue, it is still working fine after one year, but I also bought another one, just in case.I like that the guard is easily detachable, so you can clear it without unscrew anything.Don't forget to put some calking around to prevent water from getting inside (I used transparent silicone).The color or this product is off-white (tending to beige) and matt.-- one year updateStill going fine (see picture)

Don't ask the husband alot of language was going on when he had all his sheet metal tools out to fit this pipe into our existing dryer vent. After much work and Macgyvering we got it in and silicone the outside now lets see if the chipmunks or other rodents get in there
