Great pants help make you invisible
I bought these a few weeks before I took the intro motorcycle class because in March in Maryland, I knew it would be cool, plus there would be a good chance of rain. I wore them over jeans, and they fit great. Yes, you have to put your pants on first before your boots, so that can be annoying, but I don't think I'd want the lower zipper coming farther up my leg. They're designed to keep out the rain, so you really don't want them any baggier than they are.One thing the course hammered home is how hard it is for motorists to see bikers, and of course these are not brightly colored. I bought them because I didn't want to look like a peacock, but reconsidered in terms of safety. They have some small reflective strips, but they don't do much. I also bought the matching jacket, and since both are black, I was kind of Ninja-invisible. I added a bright yellow safety vest to the jacket, and I think that solved the problem. I could have put strips on the pants but thought it was not necessary. The pants themselves are excellent IMO. First off, I managed to drop my bike on the first day with me underneath it. I'm getting old and not as fast as I used to be, or I would have been standing next to it before it hit the pavement. These pants have armor, so I just lay on the parking lot until they came over and pulled the bike off me. These are small bikes, but still, zero bruises. Nice break from having to concentrate on everything. The second day of class we rode all day in the rain in 50 degree weather, and these kept me nice and warm. I REALLY like these pants. They have a button in the back to attach the jacket but I didn't bother with it since they come up pretty high, and the jacket is pretty long, so there's a decent overlap.I wear a 32 x 29 jean and these are 34-36 x 30, so they really fit well. They also kept out the rain, which is why I bought them in the first place. I didn't try the vents because it was raining, it was cold, and we were only going 25 mph max in the parking lot, but I would imagine they vent OK.Overall, these appear to be well made, the price is great, and they work to provide warmth, protection from road rash, and protection from rain. Highly recommended.

VERY Impressive Pants - Unbeatable Price - HIGHLY Recommended
These pants are my second clothing item i've bought made by Alpha. I am VERY impressed with Alpha's products. I'm not a shill, and i don't tend to rave about *anything* i buy, but I am blown-away by the quality and workmanship of Alpha's motorcycle clothes. Their attention to detail, workmanship, and materials used is phenomenal. There are no loose threads, cheap zippers, or odd, cost-saving material choices. Considering their price they are EASILY the best value in biking clothes.I have both a jacket from Alpha and these pants.. You would not know how inexpensive they are when you inspect them. I have bike clothes from other manufacturers that cost 4X more and my Alpha products are Alpha's are every bit as good as the costlier clothing. You cannot find a better product at this price. I bought another jacket in addition to the Alpha jacket that was only slightly less expensive. That other jacket's quality was a shadow of Alpha's. It isn't a bad jacket, but it is nothing like the Alpha. The pants include a zip-out thermal liner. The pants have pocets PLUS zippers that the uninitiated may think are merely decorative, because there isn't really a pocket there, but those zippers are to open vents for more air-flow. On the pants they direct air up the inside of the leg. You may think that's weird until you sit on a motorcycle where you're literally straddling a gas-burning heater for an engine. The pants include stiff protective pads the normal places you'd want them: knees, etc. The pants feature a triple closure: zipper+buttons+Velcro. My one complaint is that the pant's zipper opens the front, but there's a fabric piece there preventing them from opening all the way, which also hinders urination. You have to do some circus juggling to get your spray nozzle arranged to put out whatever toilet fire you may encounter, but this omission, as glaring as it is, is insufficient to cause me to deduct a star. The pants are way too good for that. After getting Alpha's clothes i don't feel comfortable buying motorcycle clothing from any other company. I don't think anybody can successfully compete with Alpha, and that ifI go with some other manufacturer I'll just pay more & get less.Normally I quip "I make these clothes look good." In this case I'll say "These clothes make ME look good!"
