Better than the one with the rubber sleeves
I installed a fiberglass shower 3 years ago. The drain that came with it had a rubber ring that held the 2" pipe in place. Well, it sunk and started leaking. This is glued together at least. It came with zero instructions, but seemed intuitive enough. I'm hoping it lasts longer, because if it leaks I'll have to saw it out and start over since it's glued.

Works good
I installed one of these in our duck pond to drain the nasty water out of it. It lets all of the mud wash through and stops the sticks, like it should. Perfect for that application. Was very easy to install and seals up good without any additional putty or sealant.

Almost returned it
I'm surely not a plumber. I'm working on my basement installing a shower kit I had to.order the drain from here when I opened it common sense told my I had to take it apart to install it but then I started second guessing that because I couldn't get it apart and my wrench isn't big enough but I finally got it apart installed it and got it astight as I could we'll see....oh and I didn't get the tool to install the screen. So hopefully I can get that on right too
