excellent quality
I can't say enough about the Brio brand, this set is awesome, my 3 year old grandson did not stop playing with it over the Christmas holidays, I helped him set up the track like it shows on the box (instructions on different style setups would have been good to have) but then again the 3 year old proceeded to make his own track setup.

Hours of quality fun
My kids love this set and will happily play trains for an hour or more - the trucks, the rocks, the railway crossing gate and the crane are all star features for my lot. They were happy to play with it on its own, and of course it works well with any other Brio sets. The track design featured on the box is a good size for two kids to play together, and there are enough vehicles included to share.

Super Fun Railway Set!
Wow! This is a super fun railway set! We bought it for our grandson, who will be visiting soon, but I am sure he will love manipulating the crane and dump trucks. As usual for Brio, everything went together well and worked well. You do have to hold the crane car a bit when lifting the loads, as it wants to tip off the overpass, but this easy to do, since you must hold the car while turning the crank to lift the crane's boom. We were able to use the Brio Expansion Set, Intermediate to create an outside loop around most of the loading set. The expansion set is relatively in expensive, so it makes a nice accompaniment for this one.

Excellent train set and value!
I absolutely love this set! It was a bit smaller than I initially expected, but it was perfect for my two year old. I grew up with Brio trains in my household, and I think they are a fantastic investment. Some of the pieces require a bit of skill to maneuver(the lifting mechanisms, the sloped tracks) however, it gives us more of an opportunity for playtime with our son, and for him to practice his hand/eye coordination. Very pleased.

Great wooden toy
Good wooden toy that’s been made for the last 50 years! Not plastic that will last forever!

Solid set but there's a learning curve
Like most Brio items, it's very durable and solid. I don't know if we missed it, but I couldn't find directions for assembly. I had to google a photo of the set and copy the picture, which was a little annoying but not a deal breaker. The main problem is that my 3 year old likes to build very long trains and that seems to be an issue both going up and down the elevated tracks. There's a tendency for the train cars to fall off going either up or down. We had to find the exact proper combination of train cars to manage the incline and decline. I suppose that adds to the life learning experiences for him.
