If you are looking for a very absorbent towelto use for sopping up a lot of sweat, look no further.I recently purchased myself an infrared sauna and quickly discovered that I did not care for my previously owned hot yoga towels because I could feel the grippy bumps on the hard wooden bench. (Wasn’t as noticeable at Hotworx on a yoga mat and needed the grip so I didn’t faceplant in downward dog!) I didn’t want thick terrycloth style that pills or leaves lint. I wanted soft smoother material and these are perfect. I got the large to lie on the bench and the small to continuously dry off the rolling sweat. They are super soft and unbelievably absorbent! I love the colors. Started with lavender, just ordered pink and plan to get several more so that I’m only doing laundry once a week.

I have had this towel for a little over a year and it is the best yoga towel of the three that I purchased, by far. In fact, this is the same thin microfiber type of towel that my studio hands out. I am one of those people who slides all over the place and I would have a hard time without a towel. My studio has water bottles in the classrooms so that folks can spray their towels before class and I spray both ends of the towel and that's what makes it non-slip for me. I think it also depends on the type of mat you have. Don't skimp on the mat. At first I did not want to spend the $$ but then I ended up replacing my mat for a Manduka Pro and I LOVE it. OK, back to the towel. I just ordered another one of these because I am doing yoga 4x per week and my other towels don't make me as happy as this one. This one by Yogitoes is OK but it's bulky and I slip less on my Gosweat microfiber which costs half as much. It is thicker than the Gosweat, really soft but I slide on it. I do hot yoga and Vinyasa and I want a towel that is thin, lightweight, non-slip and dries quickly. The Gosweat dries REALLY quickly, too.

While browsing new mat towels, I wanted to know how long I've been using my purple one. I've been using this towel for almost two years. I wash it after every use, I prefer low heat drying. It is still in great shape and feels high quality. I do hot yoga and sweat a lot. The sweat shows on the towel, which I don't love and it's not "nonslip" but also isn't slippery?? However, it's overall a good towel.

Highly absorbent, but leaves lint on everything. I used it for about a week brand new and unwashed. I use it for hot yoga and place it over my yoga mat. Grips the mat well, but get lint on my clothes. I had a yoga towel (different brand) previously that I lost- it never left lint/fuzz on my clothes. I hoped it would go away after washing, but it’s been a couple weeks and still leaves lint.

I purchased this so that I wouldn't have to pay $50 for a yogitoes. This Gosweat Hot Yoga Towel has a surface that is woven to be a little more moleskin or suede-like. It's great for slow movements and still poses. It fits my Manduka 71" mat just right. However, the kind of hot yoga I do is a bit more active on the mat, and the towel does not stick to the mat well for more intricate flows that may be switching poses from back to front, or one-breath-one-movement flows. Great for grip though, but I found the towel scrunching up with my feet when I twist through the diff warriors (for example).I emailed Shandali, and they were very nice and courteous and emailed me back saying that they would send me a set of their "sticky fingers" mat to try. I did. The Sticky Fingers have rubberized bottom side that definitely help the towel stick to the mat much more during my practice. The upper surface is not as grippy as the Gosweat though.So while I do wish I had something that had the upper of the Gosweat and the bottom of the Sticky Fingers, I praise Shandali for their customer service. While I didn't get exactly what I wanted, they went above and beyond for me to try their product, and I appreciate that, esp at this price point.I'm not the only yogi out there, and my opinion is not perfect so maybe these will be exactly what you're looking for.
