I contacted the seller before the purchase because I wanted an unsharpened blade, they said this was no problem but to send them a note when I purchased as this was a customization. I received the sword in 10 days from the day I ordered it. From China to Florida in 10 days. It was perfect, everything I could have wanted. The pattern on the blade is beautiful. I will be buying more from this seller.Edit: I've had this for a few days and finally got a chance to do some practice with it. This being a real sabre and not a training blade, when I first swung it around I thought I was having some issues because of the weight. It easily weighs double what my training dao weighs. I've never handled historical weapons, but I found training with blade a little clunky as the balance point is about 6-7 inches up the blade from the handle, about where the daogen transitions to the daoshen. I'm not sure if this is by design or by accident, but it does make the sword feel very blade-heavy. I don't regret my purchase, this is a deal for an absolutely beautiful sabre and they are usually sold sharp and not for forms training. I would recommend it to anyone with the caveat that it doesn't handle like a training dao does.

I saw an earlier reviewer say he requested a dull blade for practice, so I did the same. Came as ordered. Nice quality sword! Well worth the price.

Because I'm a larger person I asked to get the blade customized to the length of 32" from the normal 28". The sword came a week early and it came with a sheathe that matched the blade. The blade came at precisely the asked length and is of higher quality than I expected the blade fits snuggly in the sheathe and the blade is legitimately a cutting blade, not a practice sword. I highly recommend this product, I can't thank the smiths enough.
