Great practical book on classical control but not necessarily for beginners

This book seems to be written for engineers who must actually understand how to apply classical control techniques to fairly complex systems: it's not a math heavy esoteric control theory book that relies solely on equations --> attempts are made to describe concepts with some depth and there are many examples. It seems like the authors genuinely want to help readers solve real problems by understanding and applying general techniques, not just impress the reader with their knowledge. Also, the book offers some of the best coverage of multi-loop feedback systems that I have seen for classical control methods, but I should also mention that I haven't found many books that do cover the topic (that aren't focused on state-space "modern" control methods). I'd say the methods supplied are in the school of Bode / John Truxal / Issac Horowitz and other past-masters.Techniques in this book can applied to the types of feedback systems often found in analog IC designs (my area) and apparently also in certain aerospace applications (the authors were associated JPL). While the authors claim to target engineering students, I think the depth of the book is best suited for more advanced courses on applied classical control and would be equally or more useful to practitioners in industry. The 15 appendices at the end could themselves be a separate book of considerable value. In my opinion, some of the figures (particularly opamp circuits) aren't always "drawn" in a way that would be familiar to students of analog design and might be confusing but it can be seen that the authors attempt to best highlight circuit blocks vs. those in the feedback block diagram. Also, some apparent errors might confuse novice readers (i.e. the voltage regulator of Fig. 1.5 seems to show a current source for input U1 instead of what should almost certainly be a voltage source symbol). These are minor complaints in terms of what the book offers overall to the correct audience. The book has a high price tag, I paid near $120, and I think they'd reach a wider audience near a $50 target. In any case, I don't regret my purchase considering the unique insight and presentation of material furnished by the authors. There's an obvious passion for the topic, the language is not dry, and it comes through: nice work. (I am not associated in any way with either author).
