I purchased two Eufy Motion Sensors for my home and they have proven to be reliable and function perfectly. You will need a working Eufy Homebase, or Homebase 2, in order to use the Eufy Motion Sensors. Adjustments for sensitivity, when the sensors will be active, and how you receive notice of movement, etc., are all made using the Eufy phone App.Adding the motion sensor to your existing system is a snap; I believe it took longer to remove the sensor for the packaging and install the battery than it did to pair the sensor to my Homebase 2. Mounting the sensor to your wall or ceiling is also easy using screws or peel and stick tape, all of which is included.I have a number of Eufy products and, in general, I'm quite happy with them. However, I find Eufy's help and instructions to be either vague, fragmented, non-existent, or just plain wrong. In this case there are no instructions for sensitivity adjustments, etc.. Figuring out how to make those adjustments with your phone App is relatively intuitive, but Eufy leaves it up to you to hunt and peck. Also, the User Manual is incorrect (page 8), where it discusses battery replacement. In my experience this is quite typical of Eufy, which is why I only gave them 4 stars for installation.

The product works great. I mounted it on an outside wall, under a covered enclosure to monitor motion in my courtyard. I’ve had difficulty getting the mounted camera to trigger in time to capture any video. By the time the camera starts recording the subject has already passed and is already at the front door.This motion sensor seems to have a higher sensitivity than the camera and is triggered earlier. I simply created an automation to start recording on the camera when motion is detected on the sensor and I now capture video at the appropriate time. Very happy with this purchase.

The eufy Security Motion Sensor has been a fantastic addition to my home security setup. From the moment I unboxed it, the experience has been smooth, intuitive, and surprisingly hassle-free.Setup was a breeze — it took just a few minutes to connect the sensor to my existing eufy HomeBase system via the app. The instructions were clear, and no special tools or wiring were required. Whether mounted with screws or adhesive, the device is compact and discreet, fitting effortlessly into the corner of a room.In terms of performance, the sensor is extremely reliable. It accurately detects motion across a wide field of view and a generous range, making it ideal for entryways, hallways, or larger living areas. It has never triggered a false alarm, even with pets moving around, which I truly appreciate.One of the standout features is the smart integration with the eufy Security ecosystem. I receive instant alerts on my phone whenever motion is detected, and the customizable modes in the app allow me to easily switch between Home, Away, and Disarmed settings based on my schedule.

These are a good deal for the price and only work with their own system. They're not compatible with anything else. They are tiny and fit in my decor. They look good. Functionality wise, you can actually set them on the app so that the LED does not blink every time there is motion. I have to look around to find it in the app. They stated battery life is good. Detection range is kind of difficult. On the edges it's not so good. So I pointed it down from a higher place and get most of the area I need covered

Thought I would try to see if these work outdoors. I have one sensor on the downspout that runs under the side of the building with double sided tape along with the bracket. The other sensor is taped on the downspout with double sided tape on its side. So far both are working well (fingers crossed) and it's been outside for a few months. I do not have these sensors out in the open (no direct sun and rain) so this could be why they are still working. Both sensors are linked to the Eufy s220 cameras. They help the cameras catch motion better imo.
