I Want to Believe (Official Guide to the X-Files)

Excellent Read for X-file fans.

This is great collection for an x-files fan to have

Alright - anything "X-Files" is ok for me. If you feel the same about "X-Files," this is a good book for you, too.

Great for X fans, great price used as well!

As an x-fan, I did read this book from cover to cover and I found itselft, an amazing book for everyone that call himself and x-philo. This book is very good in everything, execpt for some pictures that were in b/w.... But that doesnt matter when you find, such an x-pectacular piece of art.

As usual, a thorough and informnative guide to the 4th season of the hottest show Fox broadcasting has ever had. What would you expect from an official guide? I have to re-examine the guides to seasons 1-3, but I think they went into more details on each episode then they do on the behind the scenes info, then they did in the other books. I could be wrong. Lots of great stuff about the episodes, which, is I guess the point, but I want the behind the scenes stuff, the comments of the writers, how the fans reacted, whether the episode came off as they envisioned it, etc. This book has that, but not enough for me. However, this isn't meant to be a negative review. It's the best book on the subject out there, and an excellent buy.

It's almost as good as having a detailed script of every episode of this season! The detail that goes into the writing is beyond excellent! I didn't get involved with the X-files from day one, but I caught up by reading these excellent guides, and lots and lots of re-runs!

I love the X-Files, and I wanted to read more of the "backstory" of each episode.Instead, most of the book is wasted on the synopses for each episode. Usually, 6 pages is wasted on the story summary, and only one page on the backstory.We don't need 6 pages of story summary for each episode: we can watch that! Instead, give us more on the background! .

This is a slightly new format for these Official Guides, but it works as well as the previous ones. The plot summary sections have been considerably bulked out, making them that much clearer. The 'backstory' notes are also a little longer. However, some of the 'around information' about the making of and cast/crew work not directly connected to one episode have been lost. All in all, it seems a fair trade-off. In essence, if you're looking for a guide to the episodes, and a bit of backstory, you couldn't do much better than this.

If you are an X-phile like me you will love this book. It gives richly detailed episode guides, including dialogue and action scenes. It details plot twists and cast lists as well as the back stories and trivia. A must if you're a fan !

Exactly what i was looking for in an episode guide for the X-Files. Provides a detailed scene by scene recap of each episode in the season. Arrived on time and was in great condition. Would recommend to serious X-Philers!
