Loose Weave / threads per inch count - On first hand wash green dye bleed onto white threads, bye bye white color
Nice design, 42"x44" in size, the thread count is very low, this is like a gauze single ply bandage. Not sure how effective it will be in filtering out dust and dirt, durability is very questionable but you get what you pay for I suppose which is one nice thing about this, it is not that expensive. It is light weight due to low thread count however and that does help in a hot environment, makes a nice sun block if nothing else. I hand washed this right out of the package, and my water turned green as the dye in the green threads washed out. The white threads then turned a light tinged green. Glad I washed it first so the dye would not be bleeding onto my skin or other clothing, the threads should have been color fast, they are not.You are warned. Would not recommend this for use in a dust environment, if you are wearing goggles with any kind of catch edge, or a jacket with zipper taps they will most likely snag and tear holes into this.

It works for what most people want it for, but...
While I do like this shemagh, it isn't really the correct size. A shemagh/keffiyeh should be around 47"x47", while this much smaller (not sure of the exact measurements). Although this small size means that it cannot be worn as it traditionally is, it works for most of the western and military wrapping styles, so if that is all your'e looking for then this will work.I just wanted to add one more thing since I've seen a lot of other reviews refer to it: this shemagh came to me in the correct color with no noticeable defects. Some other reviews cite incorrect color or defects as the reason for their low rating. There is likely some variation from one shemagh to another, so you may want to take that into account. These shemaghs are honestly very affordable at $10, so I personally would let that be to much of a detracting point.

Garbage. Poorly sewn, falling apart, very flimsy material.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The thing was unraveling from 4 or 5 different spots. One entire side has no seam..and no tassels. (See video) The list goes on. I bought two, only one was ok.Not recommended.

Compared to a Real Shemagh - Smaller - See Pics - Still Nice
I love Shemaghs as they are the most versatile piece of clothing you can own - plus they are nice looking. I ordered this because I LOVE purple - and in fact it is quite attractive. But it lacks the size I really need to use it in the way it is intended for a large headed male. Rather than a loose flowing head scarf - I get what looks more like wrapping a towel around my head. On the positive mine did not smell weird at all - it smelled clean. Also there were no holes or imperfections at all. And I will be keeping it - as I love purple and it will make me a great neck scarf. So I am not saying this isn't worth $10 - it certainly is. If you want a real one as worn by folks overseas, spend a few dollars more and get a real Palestinian one (like the black/white in the picture) here Mohavy Unisex Original Keffiyeh Shemagh Fashion Scarf One Size Dark Black Or be like me and get both - just know what you are buying...

Great for desert sun!
No color issues, have been wearing this one all summer. I work outside in the hot AZ sun, nothing like a keffiyeh to keep the sun off but retain sweat for evaporative cooling and a loose enough weave to allow airflow through. Lots of people think I'm nuts until I explain to them why it is so effective. I love the color pattern for the terrain, keeps the sun off and will work for down south deer hunting where it matches the bare mountains a bit more. I wanted to get a second one in this color (sand and tan) but it appears to not be an option anymore. I'm not sure if the tan and burgundy will replicate this or not. It's a pity, but I may roll the dice. This one has held up well to lots of sweat and sun this summer. I've only soaked it in cold vinegar water to clean it as needed then I lay out on a drying rack.So far this is my favorite shemagh for Arizona with the perfect weave and color pattern. I do believe it does run a tad smaller than the traditional keffiyehs but I'm not tying it in a traditional way so it's not a big deal.I will add that this has what I'd call an intermediate loose weave. It is intentional. I have a looser weave yet and much tighter weave keffiyehs. It just depends on what your actual use will be for and the climate. I need breathability under this desert sun. I wear it every day for hours on end while working in 110+ degree weather, mostly in the sun.

Not authentic, but still okay.
I ordered the 'neon orange' keffiyeh. It arrived in the mail quickly via USPS in your typical plastic shipping bag. There were no weird smells when I unpacked it. It's not actually as bright as it looks in the photos. While it's definitely orange, it's much more of an earthy tone than neon. While I'm disappointed about the misleading color name and probably wouldn't have bought it if I'd known, it's not a big deal in the end.I expected that the keffiyeh I was buying would be smaller than a genuine one and I was not disappointed in that regard. It's a few inches smaller than a real keffiyeh from the Middle East, but not so much so that it's impossible to use. Of more concern was that the keffiyeh I received was not perfectly square, as a keffiyeh is supposed to be. It's off by maybe 3-6 inches, which I'll almost certainly notice and nitpick over, but I doubt anyone else will notice or care.Considering I paid a quarter of what I've paid for a genuine keffiyeh, the keffiyeh I received isn't too bad.

This is a must have for travelling with the top down in a jeep while looking for that perfect adventure photo-op
A little smaller than expected but still highly effective. I wore this item daily while exploring dunes in 35 degree days for a week; no neck burns or heatstroke! This is a must have for travelling with the top down in a jeep while looking for that perfect adventure photo-op.

They work great for camping or being out in the woods
It's well made, I didn't have any issues with stitching or anything. They work great for camping or being out in the woods. I love having mine on dusty days and when I'm out surrounded by bugs.
