Bought to replace dishwasher inlet pipe for countertop dishwasher. Does the job very well, much better made than some of the other pipes listed on here, worth the extra few pounds.

I needed a new 2.5M hose to replace an old one that had seen better days and started to drip. I first tried the much cheaper equivalent hose from Screwfix at about half the price, but that would not make a good seal at the angled end and dripped behind the washing machine. The only way I could get it to seal was by fitting an additional washer on top of the one that was factory-fitted, which is no good at all.After a lot of searching for a more premium hose, this looked like the best option. It's made in Germany and you can tell as soon as you pick it up - it feels very solid and well made. It's also WRAS-approved which gives more quality assurance. Both ends just needed to be hand-tightened to give a water-tight seal, no drips, no problems. I don't mind paying twice the price for this hose, it's clearly much better and I'm confident it will last a long time.Don't scrimp and save on hoses people, a burst hose can cause a lot of damage very quickly. Highly recommended, it's 5 stars from me.

Thicker and better screw fit than first other make I ordered , don’t think this once will perish

Don’t mess around with the cheap ones in my opinion. This brand is quality and worth that little bit extra every day of the week. If you go with the advice to replace these hoses every 2-3 years then this is the brand to get to replace your old one. If the pipe splits or leaks it can be a disaster and some of the cheaper ones look like an accident waiting to happen. Straightforward to replace - just remember to isolate your water before starting.

I have just had to replace my washing machine and needed a longer 2.5 m cold water supply hose. The Xavax hose is identical to the old one (also 2.5 m) supplied by the washing machine manufacturer (upmarket German make) 19 years ago. The 15mm diam. hose with crimped metal sleeves to hold the end fittings tightly with no leaks will last at least 20 years unlike the water supply hoses now supplied by the same German manufacturer. The standard 1.5m hose with my new washing machine is a smaller diam. 12mm with push fit connections to the end fittings. This type of hose seems standard for all new washing machines. As this hose is always pressurised even a small leak will cause problems. It is a no-brainer to upgrade this critical hose to one that is greatly superior such as the Xavax which is also sensibly priced.
