Good value
We have a young Black Mouth Cur. At around 40 lbs and 20 months he is almost full grown. This pup has a lot of energy. He was ok with his nylon slip collar but he is better with this. The prongs come off with a bit of work so that's doable. The quick release buckle has worked well for the two plus months he's been using the collar. Our obedience instructor removed another link and fitted the collar tightly behind the ears. She said use it every time he is on the leash. That works out to about an hour a day for his longer walks. I think this collar is a good introduction to a prong collar. Not using the plastic tips again per the instructor. Recommended.

You Better Be Strong to Adjust This Collar
I'm fine with the product in general, except for one thing - the strength it takes to remove the prongs and add them back while you're getting it adjusted to the dog's neck. It is outrageously difficult to "pinch" those prongs. The video with the girl saying you pinch the prongs is a total joke. It takes more than a pinch! I finally used a gripping tool (pliers) to work with one of the prongs, and it took me 3 tries. I struggled with leather gloves on for protection with the other prongs. I think I have the collar sized right for my female lab - I had to remove 4 prongs. The manufacturer of this collar needs to include some kind of a tool to move the prong ends together while removing or adding them - or advise buyers how hard it is to do this. I was furious last night as I struggled to almost midnight with this collar, and would have sent it back had I not been able to get it right. I'm not weak, by the way. I've put together all kinds of products ordered on-line, including big tv cabinets, all alone, as I have no help. Anyway, I took my lab out into the yard a few times today, and I seem to have better control of her - she is a terrible puller - she's 1 year and 5 months old and high-strung. I still cannot even think of taking her out in public, so I have hopes this collar is part of the solution to making a civilized dog out of her. I spent $1600 on private behavior lessons for her last summer - all for nothing. True to the breed, she is very lovable , but I'm afraid she will injure me with the pulling and bolting when she sees things she's unfamiliar with, like birds or strangers. She needs to learn that I'm the Alpha Dog in my pack of 3 dogs - not her. Hope this collar helps.

Nice but...
I like the easy clip on, however mine did not come with the rubber tips that were advertised. What's up with that??

My solution for a dog that pulls.
This prong collar has really turned my walks with our dog into a pleasurable experience. He was just okay walking on a leash after a year of trying most everything with him. He still needed constant reminders and would pull hard at times. This was almost like magic. When I want him to walk by my side and have this collar on I use the command By Me. A gentle tug was all it took to get him there. Gentle tugs, and saying Good each time that he strayed and came back was all he needed to be a great walker. Over time he requires less and less persuasion. I can see the day coming where he will not need the collar. One word of advice. Don't leave the collar on when he is playing or at the dog park. It is only meant for training. My dog caught his paw in a dog's prong collar while playing. The instructions are clear in this regard and should be adhered to.I met a couple who had working sled dogs at one time. They said that they would always pull unless they had the prong collar on. They knew that it meant that they were now walking and not working. So, try everything that trainers and the books tell you to do to get your dog to walk properly on a leash. If it doesn't work try the prong collar. This one has a convenient clip to put it on and take it off. Be sure to have it positioned correctly after you size it by removing or adding links. I didn't find adding or removing the links too hard either.

so far so good
I much much prefer this simpler style of pinch collar when it comes to putting it on the dog. I have the older one too and its a pain to have to reconnect the prongs just to get it on him. I question how safe the clasp is on this one because it snaps so easily Im afraid it could come off but I do like that there are 2 rings to connect to the leash so it makes it more safe. So far so good

Does not pick well enough for correction and buckle partially releases
Multiple times buckle partially released and then very difficult to completely release to reattach because it jammed. Did not get compliance nearly as well as other ones I have used on the same dog. Other collar mild pull of wrist got compliance. This one i had to pop real hard to get similar compliance.

Two D Hooks
Having to D hooks I find it very hard to attach the leash as my puppy is a bit jumpy. It is a good collar I just wish it were easier to put the leash on.
