Can This Be Used In A Vegetable Garden?

I cannot imagine what these tasty smoked oysters can do in a vegetable garden other than provide lunch for the gardner.

I'm already a clam fan but still need to add oysters to my diet for the zinc. Anyone have suggestions on favorite smoked canned oyster recipes?

Put in a buttered ramekin and bake for 15 minutes 375ish. Check temp 155' Very tasty. In fact this recipe works for just about anything. Or My aunt Shirleys easy oysters with broken saltines and milk in a pyrex dish. Bake at medium temp and when you think its done add some more milk. Really easy - With Canelini beans and herbs... Olive oil salt and pepper ground fennel

What is "best by date" for these ? I'm asking in July 2017; date shown here is April 2017. thanks

Answering in July 2017, the most recently received case (we get these via "subscribe and save") states "BEST BY: 05/2021." Quite a long shelf life.

New packaging says, "hand packed in olive oil" instead of "hand packed in pure olive oil" printed on the original box. is it still pure?
