Enya - The Video Collection [DVD]

Wonderful to sit down & drift to the relaxing sound

This collection of videos is excellent, I finally got to see somewhat "luxurious" videos which I had not seen in years, the graphics and "special effects" are superb. However, I would have prefered to have seen the original promotional video of "Book of Days" with the scenes of the film "Far and Away" and Enya in the background instead of a live performance at "Top of the Pops", this was supposed to have been a collection of music videos! The live performance of the song is somewhat boring compared to the rest of the videos! I don't understand why this was so! Other than that the collection was great.

this enya video collection on dvd is absolutely brilliant !! i bought it when it was first released for the price of £19.99. sadly my home was burgled in 2005 while in a respite care home for the disabled, All my dvds were stolen amongst many other items. i was most upset over not having enya dvd any more which was my pride and joy, enya dvd was the cream of my collection. i have never been able to replace it with a brand new version under £100. why is it so rare, expensive and difficult to acquire. in sheer desperation i have had to download enya's videos from itunes (to date the video wild child not available on itunes so my collection not yet complete) onto my laptop which although very good (i play them every week) sadly isn't the same as owing the original dvd disc which has enya's photo on. there are cheaper copy versions in circulation so i have found out. i'm still in search for the original, i sincerely hope it is re-released as i predict it will be a best seller.

I love Enya's music. She has a beautiful voice, haunting and ethereal and her songs take the listener to a plane of peace and tranquillity. The videos are poetic and imaginative and they really enhance the songs especially when Enya graces the video with her appearance. The viewer is transported to Enya's magical world.Gerry Mc Menemy.

Item arrived damaged and looked like a five year old had copied the videos on to a disc with a burner that runs windows 2000,buy at your own risk here!

You may say I'm an Enya fan, since I own almost everything she has published. Despite of that, I had never seen her videos. Which I now regret. I have just received the shipping from Amazon and have to admit that the visual material surely adds to Enya's music. It's a small set of dreams.... and when it's over you discover 50 minutes have breezed by. And you wish to start over. In the short interview on the disc, Enya tells her songs are mostly based on emotions.... Beautiful and intense emotions indeed.If you enjoy her music, this disc is a must-have, definitely.Or, at least, I'm very glad I have it. :-)

The technical quality of the DVD itself is OK - no problems of playback etc so far.Yet, as some other reviewers have meantioned earlier, the sound quality oon this DVD is not as excellent as it might be regarding Enya's superb music and studio sound arrangings. The conclusion is, actually :) - it is time to republish this (and more) material on Blu-ray with restored/ improved sound and picture quality!
