LeapFrog Leapster2 Bundle

My son loves it and that is all that matters. It is durable when opening it he dropped it right on the ground and it works... my husband dropped it from our kitchen table and it works. For my son it takes forever to load, and explain and with a child patience wears thin with them. I would have thought it would have been a little bit faster knowing a child looses patience quick. The other thing was when I put in a Nemo game it kept going to sign in with the name, and then press the button for the game and did it like 10 times before it would finally load the game. My son loves it, it's educational, durable...but slow when loading and explaining!

We owned a Leapster L-Max for years.  Leapster L-max Handheld Learning Game System -Blue The L-max went on the fritz just as my youngest son was growing into it and beginning to show an interest in plying it. With over $200 worth of games for the L-max in our possession, I started shopping for a replacement game system. I went the Leapster 2 because it was cheaper than the L-max and the games are interchangeable.**Thank you Leap Frog for not trying to rip parents off by not making the old games compatible with new systems!**We have not installed the disc or downloaded any games or hooked the Leapster 2 to the computer at all yet. So I can't speak to those aspects of the system, but the free standing game itself is 5 stars, I'd give it more if I could since the L-max games we bought fit it.

Bought this for my son as his last night just died and we couldn't get it to work. He's happy he gets to play his games again and I'm happy that it works as it should

My 4 year old really enjoys playing & learning on her leapster2! If I let her, she will sit for hours upon hours playing with it! I also bought a Disney Tangled game so she wouldn't get tiered of playing just the one game all the time. I found out that you have to be very careful what games you get for your child's age & maturity level. She gets frustrated with the Tangled game & almost always ends up tossing it to the side because, the box said its for 4yrs & up, pardon me if I'm wrong, but children usually don't start spelling out 3-5 letter words until kindergarten & 1st grade (5-6yrs. old).So, bottom line, it's a great gift. Just know that the age limits on some games are probably going to be off.

I was lucky enough to score this bundle when it was marked half price for a few days. Major SCORE! This is the second Leapster2 of this model we've owned, and I bought this one because we have two boys that started fighting over our one Leapster2. The package arrived and I got it all set up via directions, but for some reason the unit's screen would not respond to the little pen. Sent it back, they sent me a new one, and it works splendidly. The AC adapter is extremely handy as this toy does run down batteries very quickly, as we found out with the first Leapster2 we owned. The game holds my 6 year old's attention well, and helps him with basic Kindergarten level skills.

This was a present to my 3 and half year old son. 2 months later and he still plays with it. He enjoys and really distracts him. Very basic content, brings one game and color screen. Even though it would be better that leapfrog had more online games to download, basically it only brings one game. I would recommend to purchase.

I bought this for my grandson who has cartridges for it already from his sister. It was great. We did have a little problem with it at first but I went to the website and received the help I needed.

I purchesed this bundle for my great nephew, whom comes to stay with me time to time and I like to have something for him to do since I don't have small children to entertain him, which means this game system should have lasted a long time! He received it Christmas 2011 and it lasted September 2012. The Touch screen just stopped responding. I was upset because I could not exchange it or return it for any type of credit. So now I'm stuck with the broke system and the extra games I purchesed!!!! I gave it a two star only because, when it did work, he enjoyed playing with it.
