I agree the factory rings are crap and fell apart on me also. I used this kit to fix only the bad rings so I have additional rings if other fail down the road. Instructions on all the different ring types were poorly written so do your best to match up the old rings to these new ones. One of my rings were so destroyed it was a little more challenging to match to the new one. Overall the nailer is working now so thats a plus.

The issue with this DeWalt Framing nailer is the three clear o-rings. They turn amber in color and into jello. I'm assuming this is from oil in the compressed air supply. Three rings are of this type, and many more are black in color. All my clear rings were shattered and one was just lumps of jelly around the air chamber.This kit contains more o-rings than I used because I can't find a place for the others. I ended up using 8 of the rings in this collection. This kit also includes the small o-rings for the trigger mechanism, but I found that only half of them fit properly. Well, let's see how long these last.

The prong kit worked on the piston assembly but the trigger assembly still leaked after putting on so rings had to order trigger assembly separate and that did work

I bought this kit because it seemed to have everything I needed to fix my nail gun. With this kit J was able to fix my nail gun in 15 minutes. I have not had any issues with the nailer since I used this kit to fix it over a year ago. I would buy this again

Now my nail gun works but hard to tell which is which.

Three of the white orings failed on my Dewalt D51844 nail gun. I ordered this kit that is supposed to be specific to D51844. It only had 2 of the three orings that I needed. A waste of time and money, now have to find a good kit.

There are a lot of different o-ring sets for these DeWalt nailers out there. This is the best I’ve found. There are extras not needed depending on your nailer model as this set seems comprehensive.
