Q: Can this be installed using the existing ceiling outlet box without drilling?

NO, the inside base has to predrilled holes for mounting the light, that hole spacing is not the hole distance used on a standard ceiling light fixture electrical box. They do provide plastic insert molys and screw so a person has only to use a phillips screw driver to push into and through the ceiling sheet rock and insert the moly then screw the fixture up, the real difficulty is to being certain that the connect wires go into the ceiling electrical box so that the fixture sets flush on the ceiling, hope this helps. The light fixture is not real heavy or strong but once up the light is great

Q: Changed batteries and now wall remote will not connect. What do I do to get it connected?

hate to make this comment ,I think you installed one or both of the batteries in the incorrect direction recheck that the bats are not in the identical direction and check the propoer polarity of each battery

It is NOT battery powered. Power source (wire) is required.

Q: where is wire connectors

I don't completely understand the question. However, I had a young, handyman, install mine as I don't 'do' ladders any more. He had no trouble with the install. All necessary parts were available.
