Speedokote Epoxy Fast Dry 2.1 low voc DTM Primer & Sealer Gray Gallon Kit, SMR-260G/261

Best primer I've ever used. I'm not an avid body man but had heard good things about the t Rex primer so decided to give it a shot. My daughter decided to play tag with a tree so im replacing the hood and bumper. I used a 1.4 tip @10psi 4:1 mix 0 reducer. It sprayed nice and even. Doing it again I might try reducing it slightly but overall very happy. I have a trailer to paint and 2/3 gallon left so thinking the t Rex will be a great choice for that too.

Used as sealer coat, worked well with other products seems to be holding up well so far. Fast dry, even coating and sprayout, good value to cost ratio. Will use again !

As a cynical person that has viewed various claims online; I stumbled upon this product with skepticism! My initial thoughts were to just use this product over the roof top of my van. As the evening progressed, I read most of the reviews and adding a few more dollars resulted in me getting a gallon instead of the quart! I sprayed the roof and was quite pleased with the results. I decided to spray the hood and spotted all the door panels. After a few weeks I decided it was time to block the doors and ..........HOLY COW, this is one AMAZING primer from a dry sanding point of view! This thing sands down with such ease. It actually feels therapeutic instead of a chore (like washing dishes)! I have yet to topcoat but would be glad to use this product again in the future! To all the amazonians posting their positive experience, I too agree!!! More like six stars!!!! I need more cars to find and paint!!!!! I thank amazon and its members for the great feedback and hope that if someone is on their computer late at night thinking about ordering this product, do yourself a favor and order the gallon!!! This is a good product. It sprays very smooth and is easy to sand. It does the job. However, make sure you open the can as soon as you receive it so you check if is a complete gallon. I waited until a couple of months later after I received it since I was not in need to use it at the moment and just check the picture and be you the judge. I just bought another gallon of a 2k primer and the same thing happened. Like I said before is a good product but if I’m paying for a gallon I will like to get a complete gallon. By the way, I never used the whole quart of the hardener since obviously because the mixing ratio being 4:1 and the gallon of epoxy primer is always incomplete I end up having leftovers of hardeners. I don’t know if I will buy this product again. Is a shame because is a good product. Oh, and probably people would wonder why I didn’t return the product, well because I don’t want to waste time. Once I got the product I just want to finish the job and don’t wait more days for another gallon.

Flows out nice and is very durable. One of the best primers I have sprayed.

This primer sprays out nicely. It’s easy to sand down smooth. Coverage is great. I had no issues with it and would use again.
