Incredible Value and Great Product !
I was impressed with the packing and shipping of my Guitar and accessories. No damage was noted . I inspected it thoroughly and found no discrepancies. It is very light even for a semi-hollow body. I tuned it up and it plays great. The action is smooth and the tones were magnificent. The only con I can think of is that the strap was evidently cheap and is so small that it fits a child and not made for an adult.BCP (The Company) is in California and in Minnesota. I found out after the fact that the guitar is made in China, but for the material and cost, it was not disappointing. I would buy another as a gift.

Very surprisingly nice guitar
Very nice guitar for the price with extra strings,a hook up chord,a tuner, picks,a cleaning cloth, case and instructions about your pickups, etc. The guitar itself had a very tiny speck about an 1/8 of an inch in the pickboard but nothing to groan about. It is beautiful and plays nice. Bar chords seem easier to play on this than regular chords but I have no playing fingers that I had years ago.It is high too which isn't as comfortable as smaller guitars but that's just something that new players may not realize as I hadn't. I was very unhappy with the delivery as it could have easily been stolen and I had left instructions about the drop off.The guitar itself plays very nice. I truly couldn't afford this but it may help with some difficult personaul setbacks, though it's looking like a lot of effort just to play things I could easily play.Steel strings take some getting use to after years of not touching a guitar. With all of the accessories, this guitar was thankfully worth the savings it took to get it.Even a very cheap small fender amp turned out to be very strong and nice with this guitar.

Almost 100%, but....
Been passively looking around for a Semi-Hollowbody for some time now and this bcp guitar popped up for a very decent price, so I went for it.Not expecting a Gretch, but it ain't a bad guitar. Finish is excellent with just one minor blemish and very light weight. The accent cream edging looks nice and blends in well with no ridging. Made in March 2022.The Strap is very sub-basic and a more substantial one is required. The strings need to be changed, as they soil the fingertips with residue and sound a bit flat. New strings will make this a whole different instrument. Although the tuners do work well. The frets for the most part, are good...except for the high "E" side, where some fretwork is necessary, catching cleaning cloths and feel the ends on the fingertips, but not a major flaw for the price. (I have had worse on more expensive instruments.) The pearl inlays are big "Simulated?" Mother of Pearl. The Neck wood needed hydration, (a personal preference.)It plays very well and the neck is silky smooth as your palm glides over the back. The nut is plastic, but does the job. It was not necessary to adjust the truss rod, with the strings being a decent height. The Humbuckers needed adjustments and were way off.The pots turn smooth, but I feel don't they have a wide volume/tone range, but that could be normal. I wish the cable jack would be on the side, instead of on the face of the guitar. A right angle cable helps, but still gets in the way at times. It looks very pretty, plays well and for a Sub-$200 guitar...it's a good buyAstro Joe

I guess I got a good one
To my surprise the guitar was set up perfectly right out of the box with a low action and perfect intonation. I stretched the strings and tuned it and it played very well. I searched for problems and really found no major issues. I know everyone wants to hear bad stuff so here goes. The potentiometers (Knobs) are all audio or exponential pots. So setting 1 is completely off, setting 2 is 3/4 on and setting 3 is full on. no increase from 3 to 10 on all (knobs). Fret edges are a little pickley but no worse than most $200 squire offerings. The stings would leave a dark residue on your fingers, I suspect a anti corrosion treatment , but after cleaning them was fine and they play really well and sound pretty good. None of these things were major issues by any means. Conclusions: Great purchase, would definately do it again. Super value for the money. Amazing guitar for the money.

Great for the price!
This is a sub-$200 335 Chinese clone. Do not go into it expecting $1,000+ quality & you won’t be disappointed. The finish is GREAT! The pots & pickups are cheap. The tuners are clunky. But they all work. I will be changing them all out when I do a proper setup. The action was really good right out of the box. Frets we’re filed on ends and smooth. Fretboard was very dry. I only played for 15 minutes & haven’t had time to do a proper setup, so I can’t speak to the total quality yet. There is buzz from the low E, A, & D strings. Not sure yet if it’s from the bridge & saddle, nut, cheap strings, or neck bow until I do a full job on it.Is this guitar playable right out of the box? YES!I tuned it quickly, plugged into an amp with a little gain, & rocked out to Johnny B Goode! With a few upgrades this has potential to rival big brand hollow body guitars. I’m giving this a 5 out of 5 based on the price. Price aside, if compared to all other brands, with a vintage $4,000+ Gibson 335 being a 5 out of 5, I’d give this a 2.5 out of 5 - with it just needing mechanical upgrades to the same quality as a Gibson or even an epiphone to be competitive.

Good for the money but loose frets
This guitar is good for the money. Amazing sustain. Unfortunately, it came with a number of loose frets. The frets must be reset and leveled and they aren't very tall to start with. The pickups squeal at high gain. The pickups must removed and wax potted. I expected to have to work on a guitar this cheap but this is a little disappointing. The guitar looks used in places. Either it was a return or someone at the factory played it for a while. The guitar is stamped with a 2 year old build date. Summary, if you like to work on guitars, or want to learn, this is a good place to start.
