I've never seen ram "go bad" so if it works it works. I used this in an old Acer M5 481 to increase the base ram from 6 to 10gb (it's got 2gb soldered and a single slot that comes with a 4gb dimm, can be swapped with an 8) along with a cheap 512 gb SSD. I had Linux mint on there before and after the swaps and it runs quickly and efficiently now for a 13 yo computer. I hesitated to buy this brand when I upgraded a newer laptop recently and ended up getting a used set elsewhere, but I won't hesitate to buy from them again. Obviously the ssd is contributing to faster boot times but I feel like everything in mint is running a lot better with this installed, and even if it isn't the price is right.

My laptop is over 10 years old and came with 6GB of RAM. I decided to give Win11 a try and though the computer worked, is was slower than molasses. I popped in the 16GB of RAM and was quite surprised with the increase of computer speed (not internet speed ... there is a difference). Currently, I highly recommend this product if you are running less than 6GB. You will be surprised and it only takes approximately 5 minutes.

This 8 GB laptop memory stick was packaged well and arrived on time. It was installed in a Dell Inspiron 15 3552 and was recognized by the BIOS. It has been functioning without any problems. I am happy with the purchase. My only disappointment was the fact that my laptop had only one memory slot. I was hoping that when opened it would have two slot, so that I could upgrade it to 16 GB.

Absolutely works for my HP 15-AF175NR laptop! Went from 4GB to 8GB so I will be buying another stick when I have the money to. Memory recognition is great no BIOS or OS tinkering needed.

Bought these 8GB RAM cards to put in a 2013 27" iMac (12 years old now). Booted up fine and automatically re-arranged the RAM. They work great and I noticed an immediate performance increase. I should have done this sooner. Don't hesitate, you can't go wrong at this price.

The memory fits perfectly my old HP Envy M6.You just have to make sure memory is mounted properly.Do not forget to discharge static electricity while holding the metal side of the laptop case or use a static electric bracelet. Believe it or not your static electricity can fry your mainboard...
