Filling the gap of the constraining smartphone trend
The Mosaic is a product that I had been amped to back on Kickstarter, seeing as to how one of the biggest factors in whether or not I'll test out new phones is the storage of the device. Manufactures always seems to leave you hanging on storage models. The typically sit at leaving a base model of 32GBs, and it's been very rare that they'll include a micro sd card slot to make up for that. This is where Mosaic comes to the rescue. As I've said, there are a lot of smartphones that I would love to try out, but due to storage constrictions, I take a pass. I'm a content creator and media enthusiast, so I'm always taking Hi-Def pics and videos, listening to music, editing photos, etc. So the Mosaic seemed to be the dream that dissolved my nightmare. The mosaic is what I'd consider a wirelesss portable hard drive for your smartphone.Design/Size:The Mosaic is like one of those small, portable hard driver's for your PC/Laptop. It's about the size of the regular Nintendo 3DS. I personally, don't mind the size because I'm a content creator, so I carry a mini sling book back to carry all my electronics. Mine is a custom made, early bird special from Kickstarter. So, my friend Lyrelius designed the graphic for mine, and Mosaic brung it to life. There are lots of other colors like white, black, mosaic patterns, etc.Features/Specs:-WiFi Extender-Wireless media streaming (Up to 7 people)-USB C (USB version 3.0, transfers up to 5GB/s)-Portable battery charger w/ 7000mAh*1.5 A output/1 A input-Dual WiFI connections of both the Mosaic's WiFi signal, and your home or public WiFi signal to accessthe internet and stream media on the Mosaic at the same time, using the Mosaic and the free Mosaic appWiFi Streaming:Originally, I did have some problems with WiFi streaming because the Mosaic wouldn't allow me to view or listen to my files. A red 'x' would pop up. The great thing about Mosaic though is they are so involved with their consumers that they contacted me to set up a time to speak on the phone to resolve the issue. One of their staff and the Android app developer ran me through the options to fix the issue, and fixed it within minutes. Now my Mosaic streams flawlessly. There is no lag in my streaming, I can quickly rewind and fast forward through videos, swipe from photo to photo, and groove through my favorite tracks. There's such a pleasure to use my Mosaic on my tablet when I'm catching a long bus ride or out with my sisters, running errands like taking them to get their nails done. The streaming is done by Mosaic's built in WiFi capabilities, which allows it to create it's own WiFi signal for your devices to pick up and connect to. Mosaic allows you to stream your media either via the embedded player in the app or using a third-party app like Doubletwist, though they recommend MX player or VLC player, but my Nexus 7 (2013) tablet wouldn't allow me to recognize the latter to play my files.I haven't shared my stream capabilities with anyone else via my Mosaic and their app, but when I do, I will test out how that pans out.Storage:I have the 256 GB model, and it had about 228GB left of storage for me to use freely. Mosaic has these cool tutorial videos that take up a little space, which help you figure out how to use the features of the Mosaic. So if watching rather than reading more convenient for you, than you can view the videos on the Mosaic internally than reading the instructions via the Start-up guide/manual.-Haven't got the expandable storage to work via the Standard USB slot to work yet. I've contacted Mosaic about this, still waiting on a solution. Not sure if this is an isolated situation to just me, or everyone else.NOTE: According to Tinfoot, in order to use the USB Memory, you need to have your flash drive or hard drive NFTS Formatted.Transferring files (Laptop to Mosaic):Quicker than using services like Send Anywhere, Pushbullet, Portal (by Pushbullet), and etc. that rely on your mobile network and or WiFi data connection to transfer files. Especially for multiple files. This is especially relevant since Pushbullet has moved most of it features to PRO, limiting transfers.I transferred about 775MB video file from my laptop to my Mosaic in 25 seconds, and 1.12 GB (9 video files) of media in 36 seconds with the included USB-C (USB Version 3.0) cable. So, it's very fast. The transfer mode took some time to figure out because you have to push the power button a certain way to activate transfer mode for you PC/laptop connection, but after I got it, it was a breeze.Transfering files (Smartphone/Tablet to Mosaic)The process of transferring files from your device to your Mosaic is SUPER fast. I uploaded two files that equaled 430MBs in under 2 minutes from my Nexus 7 (2013) to my Mosaic. It took me about 10 minutes or so to upload the same files from my Nexus 7 to my Google Drive account using my school's super fast WiFi (50Mbps).

Game changer!!
This is THE most useful gadget I have purchased in years! Game changer that is specially useful for traveling. Now we can dump all of our families movies and music onto this one device and all of my kids can access it from their phones and tablets! No more fighting to use each others devices. But here is the best part: Not only can my three kids all stream three different movies stored on my Mosaic at the same time.. but they can also access and watch the same movie and watch it independently at the same time! How did they do that?!?!?
