What a great slow pitch jigging reel! I took it out yesterday on a charter and absolutely slammed grouper with it! Drag is smooth and easy to adjust and it helps prevent a birds nest backlash if you don't get your thumb on the line in time. Just let it do it's thing and it works itself out. It rocks itself back and forth until it straightens itself out...you've just got to lightly hold your thumb over it while it does. Great value and great reel and I look forward to many more trips with it!!!

Updated - after chatting with support I loosened and tightened the drag knob (has a blue cap on drag handle) It worked as expected. Not sure how it got loosened.This time I loosened all the way and tightened very hard. If you have the issue try this.I will update after the next trip.Phil

This reel looks great but it’s drag system is poor quality. First time using caught a 20lb amberjack which during the fight took drag (like all AJs do). The drag locked up and was not able to get into free spool to drop again.The worst part is Amazon charged be a $50 restocking fee because I was outside of the 30 day return window. This was despite me explaining it was my first time using the item.Overall poor quality item and poor buying experience. Save yourself time and headache and get a diawa, Penn or shimano from a reputable tackle dealer.

I paired this up with a goofish jigging rod for our yearly trip down to Islamorada Florida. Definitely a bulletproof setup, caught a lot of nice tuna, amberjacks etc. Great combo at a fraction of the price of some of the leading brands! 🎣🤙

The product was defective upon receipt. It sounds like an internal issue with the reel.
