Solid product. Clean and sturdy application
Solid product. Glad I didn’t have to replace my bumper. Went on easy. Definitely pre drilling helps. Previous owner of my trailer put a bike rack on the bumper and it bent/ripped. This is the best solution to bolster up the bumper and fix it. Great product. I feel secure about putting weight on it now. The fit was perfect only had to move my rear jacks. Minor issue.

Sturdy and easy install
Pretty easy install. The self tapping screws that came with aren't the best but work pretty good once you get a pilot hole and it says you don't need a powered hole. But I think it will do what it's intended to do I am pleased

Not the easiest install
I installed the item with the standoff bolts due to the I beam style construction of my Coachmen trailer. When I received the item I was VERY impressed with the packing! Probably the best packaging of any Amazon item I've purchased any time recently. Everything was in a "right sized" box, wrapped tightly with plastic wrap, and there was no damage to anything including the box which is commendable with an item so weighty.Quality:Let me say that if these brackets are 25% thicker than the competition, I'd hate to see how thin the competition is! These brackets are the RIGHT size for claims of 400 foot lbs of support. I also appreciate the education materials that inform you of the difference between lbs and foot-lbs! The hardware is good quality and I had no problems with any of it. No stripping, twisting heads off, drill bit not drilling, none of that. Good quality materials. But, I paid double over the competition so I expect nothing less.Install:The procedure for marking where to drill is suspect. The concept is good, but my execution was not. The idea is that you install the standoff bolts to the bracket, put these pointed bits into the standoff bolts that are used to mark your drill holes, fit the bracket to your bumper so that the pointed bits are touching the I beam that the bumper is welded to, hammer each standoff bolt to mark your drill holes, and drill your holes. But, for the life of me, I could not get the bracket to stay in place as soon as I hit the standoff bolts with the hammer. So when I went to drill there was no confidence that the places I marked were actually going to line up with the bracket holes. But, I did my best and drilled away. Drilling through the I beam was painstaking, stopping to oil the bit, pushing from awkward angles but I got through. Only to find that my holes were as much as half a bolt width off. No way the bolts are just going to slip through. So I had to uninstall the standoff bolts from the bracket, and simultaneously tighten down both sides of the standoff bolts. Since my holes were off the final bracket placement was off but close enough.Oh, and during the process of marking the places to drill, the small bits that are threaded in the standoff bolts threaded too deep and I spent several anxious minutes trying to figure out how to get them out b/c it would have disabled the whole bracket installation if I couldn't get them out! Whew, got em out!The other side went on a little faster but I was pressed for time by then. It was 105 outside and the install had taken over an hour for the first bracket so I was cranky. I didn't do any better job marking, drilling, and fitting the second bracket drill holes but the technique I used on the first bracket served me well and the final placement of the bracket is closer to where I intended it to go.As a side note, I decided to place the brackets on the inside(towards the center of the bumper) of the I beams where I thought they would do the most good, but the directions don't suggest any optimal placements.I am satisfied that the bumper is reinforced but not sure it could take 400 lbs like they claim. I had 3 kids bikes and a bike rack, maybe 150 lbs total, on our trip and there was still enough torsion on the bumper to loosen the end caps while traveling. But it feels stout so time will tell.
