These are awesome!
I'm an airline pilot with food allergies. Eating on the road is an utter pain in the butt. These ended up being life-changing for me.Convenience wise they can't be beaten. I pop them in the microwave for 2 mins and I am good to go. I've also got a portable electric cooker that I can heat them up both in my hotel room and I may have cooked a few on the flight deck (shhhhh don't tell).Nutritionally they can't be beaten. All the right stuff without all the bad preservatives that are making us all fat these days. Good ingredients. The beef version is all grass-fed.They taste great for a microwave meal. Heck, they taste better than most restaurant meals. I've never been able to get good food on the road with my allergies. With these, I can. Way better tasting than airport food. The chili has a taste I don't care for and I throw a ton of BBQ sauce into them to make it tolerable. But all the others are great. They are expensive but SO worth it. I buy a few cases at a time of different flavors.Keep up the great work True Primal! I'll be buying these by the case for years!

Intense smokey flavor
I love all the ingredients, the carrots are my favorite, but this has a very intense smokey flavor that made it hard for me to eat without adding some green onion and a couple crumbled tortilla chips. If you like smokey flavor then this will be a good soup for you. I don't like smokey flavor so much so I had to mask it with other flavors.

Overall A Great Natural Soup, With Generous Portions of Chicken
It's near impossible to find a good prepared soup that isn't loaded with undesirable ingredients like yeast extract, canola or soybean oil, hydrolyzed vegetable protein, or "natural" flavorings. The closest I've come so far has been Dr. MacDougall's soups, but even those have some filler ingredients. The True Primal soup is the most truly natural soup I could find.My next biggest concern was "would there be enough meat in it?" We're so used to getting short-changed in this area. The answer turns out to be a resounding YES. There is a generous amount of chicken in each bag. It is pressed chicken though and not shredded chicken parts, which was a little disappointing at first, but once you get used to the texture it is okay. The flavor is on the mild side, and can be doctored up if you want some more zing. Sodium content is rather high per package (1150mg) but it does not seem salty while eating it and I experience no after-effects like excessive thirst. Maybe because I don't consume a lot of salt otherwise. But if you do, just be careful. I eat the whole package at once but the company says that some people divide it into 2 servings. That makes sense if the soup is an appetizer or side dish, but not if you are eating it as a meal. Also as with most soups without preservatives, the vegetables are soft and mushy, especially the carrots. I would prefer them less mushy, perhaps the company could cook them less? Hopefully they'll see this. Also, the broth is thin and liquidy and I would prefer a thicker soup, but then you'd have to call it a stew I suppose. So I would rate this 4.5 stars overall. This soup has some room for improvement, but it is nonetheless at the top of it's class as far as being filling, natural, and healthy. I will admit that at $51 per 8 packages ($6.50 per package) it is a bit pricey if you eat the whole package at once, but if you break it up into 2 servings, it is a bargain for such a healthy soup. I am definitely going to order again and I will try one or more of their other flavors.

Tasty yet disappointing
This is overall a tasty soup. However, it really should have been called carrot soup for all the carrots that were in it. There was chicken too, but it seemed more like small chunks of cooked ground chicken. For the price, I expected way better. I did not feel like it tasted "intensely smoky" as other reviewers have said - it seemed well seasoned and the flavor was appealing, except for the actual chicken and it was a little too sweet from so many carrots.

overpriced...not very tasty
Overpriced. The chicken is chewy... and the vegetables are mostly carrots. For the price, I was expecting a soup that would be much better!

Primo ingredients
I am really picky about ingredients. This is a true bone broth soup that tastes almost as good as my home made which takes all day to make. When refrigerated it becomes solid like jello- a sign that it is bone broth.

Sent in a care package, and they loved it.
While it might seem pricey for soup, it's very "clean," and that's what matters to the people I sent this to. No unwanted chemicals or additives. Wonderful for single servings, a quick meal, and for avoiding allergens and sensitivities since the ingredient list is short. Can even be eaten at room temp from the package, in case that matters to anyone. Otherwise, you can heat it in the microwave or on stove. I would NOT reheat it in the package, though. Pour it into a different container.

Really carrot soup
I've been low carb for 3 years now, so I really wanted to like this soup but alas the search continues. While this is relatively low carb, it does not taste like chicken soup to me, the overwhelming flavor I detect is carrot. I assume that the reason the vast bulk of this soup is carrot is because carrots are cheap, but they are also sweet and this soup is way too sweet for my tastes (especially after 3 years of eating no sugar).Edited to add: After my review posted the company reached out to me and offered a full refund, I didn't take them up on it because I gave all the soup away at work but it does speak to the integrity of the company, though it doesn't change my opinion of the taste of the soup.
