Acorn Mens and Womens Original Slipper Socks - Cloud Cushion, Ragg Wool, Moisture-Wicking, Suede Sole

I see a lot of complaints about fit and outdoor use of these ... I mean, these are slipper socks for indoor use! These are not shoes! If you want to walk outside in the snow, put on shoes or boots and then go outside ...I have two pair of these and they are great! I really like the real leather soles and foam insole, instead of the cheap plastic soles that are sold on most house shoes ... They were a little tight on my ankles when new, but they relaxed a bit and fit perfectly now.These are perfect for letting the TV watch you, sauntering, meandering, posing, consuming hot beverages, midnight strolls through the house, napping and all sorts of other indoor inactivity ...<UPDATE>It has been a few years, and I must say, my Acorn's are still working strong. It is about 60 degrees inside, and I'm working in the garage on a cold concrete slab. The red stripes look especially special with my Adidas sweat pants.

I LOVE these sock moccasins shoes or whatever they are.I purchased 2 pair in different colors and the upper sock material was a significantly different material in its weave density and stretchyness. (blue more thin and stretchy than grey). I wear blue ones indoors, and the grey ones stay in the car for long car trips. Sizing: both pair I bought say 7-9mens 9-10women -- In how they actually fit they are 9-10 mens. The soles are leather with a thin bit of soft foam, in winter I can walk around in snow in them and the cold doesnt get through. Not that you should walk in snow with them since the leather is like a suede so it gets gross. You can put them through the washing machine and it makes them look good as new.

So these are great. Acorn is a notable brand but they are made in China, not Maine, to be clear. These are super comfortable and the pair I received were well-stitched and sizing was symmetrical for both socks (some reviews note that theirs seemed irregular or poorly made.) They are meant to go up mid calf, which they can, but as a female with normal legs ordering the L (for women’s size 11-12) these were definitely pretty tight up the leg, plenty of room and width in foot area. So on a man with normal to thicker legs, I would assume these would too tight to even put your foot in. I just cuff them and they’re fine for me, but it’s worth noting. Also I was worried that the suede bottoms may not be skid-resistant enough for my all hardwood flooring but it totally is.

JUNK!I have owned a pair of these for 15-20 years and love them. Decided to get another pair and to my disappointment the quality is gone. The upper wool is so tight they cut circulation. I tried to wear in hopes that they would stretch but alas they have not stretched and are unwearable. Yet another product made in China that is nothing but junk.

I got size 8-9 and there is like .5-1 inch extra. The leather part caves in and my foot slids around. Too big. I like the padding in the sole. The sock cuff wont go up my calf cause its not wide enough so i have to fold it down. Its just all around loose. The sole part is good quality leather from what i can tell without wearing for months. I will be returning these unfortunately. Also they stink like chemicals when close to face.

Years ago I had a pair of these and wore them constantly until they finally--after a long time--wore out. I got another pair for Christmas, and they are just as terrific as I remembered. They're really warm which helps with the freezing cold temperatures we had this past winter.

Bought as a gift for my hubs. He loves them. Wore them out. Definitely ordering again.

I ordered these and they came promptly. However, I cannot recommend them because they are so improperly sized. Construction is terrific, the leather is well stitched and soft, the Ragg wool tops are nice and thick, but a bit tight. The colour is super bright and I love that. However, I cannot wear them because they are just huge. I ordered a women's size 8-9 which should have a sole length of 9.5" to 9.87 inches. Instead, I measured the soles on the ones I received as being a full 11" in length. Way too long. They cause me to trip as the extra toe length folds under or flips up. They are so wide they cause my foot to flop around inside, sliding all over the place, including right off the sole and onto the wooly part even with a sock on. I have contacted the Acorn Company for advice and am awaiting their response. I'm hopeful they will make this right and I can update my review with something positive. Very sad about this and do not recommend until Acorn resolves the sizing issues.
