Why didn't I buy this years ago?
Yeah so this purchase definitely falls under the category of "why didn't I buy this years ago?". My futon cushion is very thick and comfortable, but also heavy. Being my first futon I thought it was normal for it to keep sliding down over time. Every other day or so I'd pick it up and try to put it back in place, only to have it slide back down over a short period of time. Pretty annoying. Finally I decided to see if there was anything on Amazon that could help with this and found this item. Reviews were good so I tried it out. Yeah, it works perfectly, the futon cushion doesn't move at all now.So to explain what it is, it has adhesive on one side which sticks to the slats of the futon frame. The other side looks kind of like a soft packing material you might see protecting electronics in shipping. Hard to believe by looking at it that it would support a heavy futon cushion with people sitting and getting up over and over, but it absolutely does work and it hasn't moved an inch since I got it.Since there is no adhesive on the side that touches the cushion it is completely safe to use and doesn't cause any kind of mess. The roll they sent was enough to apply to every other wood slat which apparently was more than enough by looking at the results.Definitely satisfied with the purchase! Don't forget to let the adhesive stick to the frame for an hour before you put the cushion back on. Not sure how important that really is, but I let it sit for an hour as instructed and results are perfect!

My futon doesn't slide down anymore.
It was easy to install and it fixed the problem pretty well.

A simple concept but it should be effective.
A slipping futon mattress makes owning a futon much less convenient: shoving the mattress back into place inevitably results in the back of the futon bumping into and marring the wall behind it. I wish I had known of these strips years ago. They may have saved me a lot of frustration and some touch-up painting. This 25-foot roll of adhesive-backed foam was sufficient to cover 16 of the slats on my queen-sized futon. That worked out to be exactly half of the upper and lower slats. The foam is moderately stretchy but it does not have to be stretched to apply; the adhesive seems quite strong. One improvement would be to slit the removable paper backing down the length of the roll to make removal of it easier. I found that by creasing the edge of the foam back and forth, I could remove the paper backing a little more easily that simply trying to grasp it with my fingernails. If you are going to buy a futon mattress cover, wait until these strips are delivered. These strips come with a 10% discount coupon for a futon cover from the manufacturer's website. I wish I knew that in advance.

Pleasantly surprised IT WORKS AWESOME
This foam tape worked. I was shocked. It's been 3 weeks and my very large futon couch mattress has not slipped and inch. I highly recommend this tape!!!

1 roll does not cover a queen sized futon if not strectched while applying
I have 2 queen sized futon, I bought 2 rolls, 1 for each as it was my understanding that 1 roll was needed for each. I read & followed the instructions and mid way on futon #1 realized that the roll was not going to cover the entire futon. So, I began to stick & slightly stretch to make it go further. Long story short, had to buy another roll @ $20 to finish the 2nd futon.

It doesn't budge now
My three rowdy dogs jump off and on this futon 800 times a day. They wrestle on it. Sleep on it. Fart, drool, and tackle each other on it. The mattress used to slide off more and more each time they were on it. I was about to give up. I ordered these and put them on a few days ago and there have been at least 2400 dog interactions with this futon since then and it hasn't budged. Not a bit. Not an inch. Still in place. These are great.Follow the VERY simple instructions - cut to length, put them on, press firmly, and don't put the mattress back on for a few hours (I put them on before bed and put the mattress back on in the morning). I put them on every other slat the full length on the back & the bottom with some left over.

Genius invention
This is the best thing. I have had a futon for years and the slip has been the stupidest thing. It would make the couch so uncomfortable. I tied ropes on the corners to stop it from slipping but the rope was a very temporary solution before it would slip off the frame or come untied. The other day I decided I have had enough of being uncomfortable on my very nice futon couch. I decide to google how to stop your futon from slipping off the frame. And this product showed up. I started reading through the reviews on here and came across a review from E. Ray about them having a lot of dogs and this product was amazing. So I was sold and I bought it. I got it yesterday which was a Wednesday after ordering it on saturday so fast shiping and I immediately put it on. To put it on was so easy and kind of fun to put on the frame and a perfect amount for my queen size frame I have. I put a strip on every other slat on my frame on the bottom and ever 3 on the top. So about 7 strips on the bottom and 5 on the top at 25 inches a strip. Then the moment of truth. Will it hold? And omg did it hold. I even pulled on it to see if it would budge and not an inch!!! If you have a futon this is the way to go. I have tried so many other solutions that were crap compared to this magical roll of amazingness. I can not say enough about how perfect this product is.
