Well executed, but not for everyone
This beer does have all the proper qualities that a good stout should. The sweet, roasty malt flavor, dark black color, and caramel brown head are all present and accounted for. And the calorie count is over 50% less than what a standard stout would have, which is another point in its favor. However, the part I'm not such a fan of is the sheer quantity of hops that are in this recipe. In a stout, I'm looking for the dark-roasted malt to shine and be on full display, really hammering on the coffee and chocolate notes described in the ads. Sadly, nearly every other flavor note is drowned out by the huge hop bill, and is rendered barely detectable by the burst of crisp, piney hop flavors that fill your mouth and nose. The hop fragrances are not unpleasant, but are just more overstated than I typically prefer in this type of beer.As the advertisement says, this is a stout-inspired beer. So, if you are looking for a stout with toned-down malt flavor, or something like a dark IPA, then this is for you. It wasn't what I was looking for, but definitely not a bad product.

A Tasty Bold IPA
Trying to cut alcohol from your diet, but still crave a good IPA? This is your answer. Bold, proper level of bitterness and hops. Definitely drinkable.

Tasty, but expensive
Athletic Brewing really got this one right. It tastes just like a high-quality light beer, but without the alcohol and fewer carbs. Unfortunately, it’s really expensive compared to actual light beer, but I still like to keep a few in the fridge as a stand-in while kicking the habit.

fantastic beer - two thumbs up
This is a higher calorie beer than the other NA beers I've tried, but it is still an absolute treat because it tastes the best. Hands down. (It's still lower calorie than light beers (with alcohol)).I would take this over beers with alcohol any day because it just tastes better.I would compare it to Boneshaker (if you're familiar with that beer, you'll like this one)I wish it came in tallboys because one little can isn't quite enough.

Wonderful
I'm now 48 days without a beer (or drink). It's not a forever thing more of break before the Christmas season. I really didn't think it would be possible but this Upside Dawn Craft Golden from the Athletic Brewing Company is a game changer. The price is good and the speed of delivery excellent.

Surprisingly good
I'm not a fan of low-alcohol beers but, with the new stringent drink-driving laws, I needed something on hand for when driving friends call around (and even for me if I might need to go out later). This looks like a dark stout although the taste is lighter than that, more like a porter or even a brown ale. I'm sufficiently impressed that I might try their IPA too.
