These saved me from having to fill the swear jar again!
Yes, once again, I messed up drilling 6" holes in the ceiling for can lights (actually for wafer lights). I even bought a special 6" hole saw, but it bounced out of the guide bit hole and created an oblong opening in the ceiling. Dang-it!The wafer light still fit and held in the opening, but it looked awful. And this was right over the tub, where it was super noticeable. But I bit my tongue and brought up Amazon on the laptop and found these. They arrived the next day.And they work great! Note - there are different size goof rings, so make sure you check the hole size before you order. Thankfully, I bought the correct 6.2" size, and they look awesome. Really. My wife will never know how bad it looked previously.Although she is a little suspect - normally this far into a project the swear jar has a lot more quarters in it.

"Sunco 12 Pack Goof Rings: Seamless Style, Effortless Installation, and a Pop of Personality!"
This product has been a game-changer for me. It not only saved me a ton of time by eliminating the need for patchwork, but its paintable feature allowed me to seamlessly match it with my ceiling color. The solid plastic construction gives it a durable feel, and its sleek design adds a polished look to my living room. The compatibility with 6-inch LEDs makes it a perfect fit for my lighting setup. Overall, I'm pleased with the Sunco 12 Pack Goof Rings, and they have definitely enhanced the aesthetics of my recessed light fixtures.

Saved me time and big money. Very happy
I’m in the middle of a big remodel job with at least 200 tasks from big to small. The last thing I need was to add another task because of a mistake. It’s part of the job when you hire a crew who does not have the same expectations I do.Anyhow, I had a bathroom wall sheet-rocked with expensive greenboard. The wall crew rushed it and got the holes for the lights all wrong. For some reason, they assumed that the sconce lights had 6” box canopies when in reality they only had 4” to work with. The sheet layout called for one sheet with three holes which can be a tricky install. The crew is normally pro at this stuff and of course they are long gone.Instead of making repairs to the circles with mud, I chose these goof rings. I’ve used different ones in the past and it hasn’t gone so well. I hesitated getting these but the price was right so I took a chance. When they first arrived, I noted how heavy they were when together. The quality is very good and the material which looks and feels like fiberglass reinforced ABS. The front surface is perfect without a single blemish. These are die casted so the back side has small blemishes from the mold. The mold used must be pristine and that can be expensive to manufacture. The client loves the look of the lights and thought it was part of the design and not a material made to hide the poor Sheetrock.I typically have these issues corrected with the crew but this one wasn’t caught and the timeline is tight. I got lucky that I used these high quality rings and that the client liked them. These work well with ceiling or wall mounted lights. Wall mounting can be troublesome but just a dabble of caulk keeps them in place so the sconce can be centered. These are paintable, however if you choose to paint them, I recommend hitting them with a 400 grit wet/dry scour sponge or sandpaper. They need to get roughed up for paint as the way they arrived were too smooth for an immediate paint. The client liked that the rings matched the wall with no paint needed. They do look great, all things considered.See the before and after photos. Another good thing about these is that they keep the light firmly to the wall/ceiling with little flex.I now have extras but hope not to need them again. That said, it’s good to know as a backup.

Great to cover inconsistent ceiling can cuts
Like that these blend in well with the ceiling and cover the “goofs” where the last owner had can lights replaced. Makes for a much cleaner look

Perfect to hide ceiling light holes cut slightly too large
The holes for ceiling can lights were cut slightly too large, so rather than get drywall mud out and start patching we put these in. They work great. We can always go back and patch later if we want to but with these goof rings, we don't have to do it right away. It looks like they're paintable but they matched the white ceiling and light fixture just fine without paint. Easy to install. I don't think they're noticeable around the light to anyone else.

Great product
The goof rings were perfect for our needs. Changing out 25 - 45 year old can ceiling lights to LED was a challenge. What we found was that the new LED’s didn’t quite cover the circular area of the old can and left a gap all around. The perfect solution was to add the halo ring behind the LED’s ! Great product and reasonably priced. The ceilings are 18 feet tall and my photos are poor,

Lifesaver
These work great when the newer led ceiling light don't cover the old recessed hole, you'll find most do not. Look great and gives a nice stepped dimension to the light.

Works well
Purchased 6” pot lights and of course the recessed lights I’m replacing were 7” with an outside diameter of 8”. So either replace the ceiling tiles which won’t match with the old ones or buy these rings. These rings fit on the 6” lights and fit in the old holes in the ceiling tiles. Quality is great and shipping was super quick.

Expensive, but do the trick.
Our old potlights had been "updated" with an ugly trim piece and a half can/half pot light update. I hated them and wanted to convert them to pot light lights. We removed the ugly trim piece to discover a jagged cut hole for the original light. It was awful. These worked to cover the botch job. They are expensive, but clean and do the trick.

Description and measurements are accurate. When installed, looks like it was always there.
used this product to fill gaps left when old pot lights were replaced with new energy efficient style. Previous pot light holes irregularly cut, new lights didn’t always cover the previously cut hole
