We had to return this because it was for the opposite side. The part was just fine, no defects.

Do not rely on the description I believe this fits the early model Astro Vans as in generation 1.. did fit did not come close to even fitting my 2000. .. please note that the orange hinge bolts on and the blue hinge is welded on.. this part should fit the welded on hinge.. bushings in the blue welding on hinge versus no bushings in the bolt on hinge.. the other review is correct about the door not fitting. Also I believe the pin dimensions are different.. your mileage may vary.

It’s not a one to one replacement. The angle of the arm from the pin to rollers is about a 1/2” difference so when you close the door it doesn’t allow for the back portion of the door to fully close. Causes the door to leak when it rains and whistle while driving down the highways. You’d be better off drilling out the old bearings on the oem and replacing them with a rivet gun.Edit: if you remove the part of the hinge that is attached to door there is a removable shim. If you remove that the door will align better. But you still need to modify the hell out of the hinge to connect where the pin is inserted.
