Surprisingly good can-do-all-radio
I just got this radio and I have on since I received it. What a versatile piece of gear that one could bring to the beach, camping, or just keep at home as I am doing right now. I bet I am going to use this alot outside in the summer. The radio works well...the weather bands are great. The light works flawlessly and is very bright. I haven't used it to charge phone phone yet but this could have saved me last summer when I was searching in my beach bag for a bottle opener too ! The radio arrived fully charged and is actually sitting in window right now charging as it plays ...I am almost wondering could it play all day and night and then charge up tomorrow when sun is up again. I had a question for customer service and they responded right away. I have a bunch of radios from name brands but this can-do-many-things-radio-battery-weather-light will be the one I sense I bring camping, to the beach, beyond and here at home. Is the the best sounding radio ever...no. But its ability to do many things makes up for that in spades.

Never be left in the dark again.
The media could not be loaded. Never be left in the dark again! In so many more ways than one this handy little rugged built radio will keep you from being left in the dark quite literally it has a suprisngly decent LED flashlight on it in addition to a Lithium power bank to keep your cell phone charged and in contact with your loved ones when you need it most. It has 3 ways of charging USB, Hand Crank, Or solar power so you are never out of options. This one unlike many of the other's is ACTUALLY A DECENT RADIO the sound quality is suprising for the asking price. It not only picks up the important AM and FM bands but includes the WB (Weatherband) Also includes an SOS signal/alarm and a bottle opener. Pretty happy with my purchase of this nifty little weather radio.

A must have for your emergency kit
A nice compact emergency radio unit. Multiple ways to power (Solar, 3 AAA batteries, rechargeable Li-ion battery, or manual hand crank). The lithium ion battery is rechargeable using the included microUSB cable. It does not come with a USB AC/DC adapter, but who doesn't have a bunch of those these days (I have dedicated USB charge ports in several of my outlets), so I'm not knocking any stars off for that.Radio reception on FM and WB frequencies is surprisingly good. The AM reception was ok, but not the greatest. It uses a telescoping antenna located on the top of the unit, next to the solar panel and flashlight on/off button. Flashlight is nice and bright. LCD screen is large, backlit, and easy to read. The radio has an IPX-3 water protection rating. The flashlight button on top, and the various buttons on the front are all covered with thick rubber to protect from water intrusion. The charge port, USB port, and 3.5mm headphone ports are also covered by a rubber flap to keep them from being exposed to the elements.Below the charging port flap there is a built in bottle opener that is integrated into the spring loaded attachment clip. You can attach the radio to a backpack or a lanyard instantly using this hanging clip.Build-wise. The unit feels solidly built and the black part has a nice grippy feel to it, so it won't slip out of your hand. The high-contrast orange makes the unit easier to find in low light as well. I have not used the SOS button, but from other reviews, it sounds like it is nice and loud. The unit is compact, as you can see from the pics I've included, and it's very light weight. Definitely pleased with my purchase.

Best for prepping, emergency, weather alert, outdoors
Small size and very good sound for FM radio. Clear sound for 1 NOAA weather channel in my area, and a couple of AM channels for public radio in my area. Digital tuner has good pickup. Very bright light. I like having emergency devices that I can also use everyday, so I won’t forget about it when an emergency strikes. For emergency, the hand crank, solar charger, and AAA batteries are good options. Hand crank dynamo is also good for charging small devices in an emergency with the USB micro plug 5v output. May need to crank for 30 min at 60 rpm to get 15 min talk time, but it’s still good to have in an emergency. If you are cranking for a long time, you would want to lock it down somewhere so you don’t need to hold it with your other hand. Makes it a lot easier to crank.

Awesome Radio
I liked this radio so much, I purchased a 2nd one. I'm so impressed with this little radio. The sound is loud and clear. The NOAA band really works, and the weather alert is really loud. So is the SOS alarm. The flashlight is bright and clear. The multiple ways that it can be powered, ensures you'll have power for the unit. The radio reception is excellent. I love the digital tuning, and clear display. The display is backlit, but turns off in about 1 minute and 57 seconds if you don't touch any of the radio buttons. Power saving feature. Make any adjustment with the controls, and the backlight lights up so you can see, and dial in your station. Then it turns off again if you don't touch the dials.Power it by hand crank, USB source/power bank, 3 AAA batteries, or solar panel. While I could use the light, as it's bright enough, I have a standard lantern that is powered by D cells. While I could charge my phone with it, it drains the battery quickly per the instructions, but you can charge your phone enough to make an emergency call. I have 3 or 4 power banks so I won't be charging my phone with the radio's battery. The main reason I got the radio is so I'd have a good radio with multiple ways to power it. I like that I'll have HOURS/DAYS of radio play of news, weather, talk and entertainment if the power goes out. All the other 'extras' are nice, the main draw for me is the radio, and not having to panic if I run out of dry cells. This thing will run off hand crank dynamo, solar, USB power, or the 3 AAA.With it, you won't be in the dark, or out of touch without weather and news information.
