Heavy and well made
We have a lot of raccoons and they have destroyed just about every bird feeder we've put out, but so far they haven't been able to do any damage to this one. My husband really likes this feeder for its sturdiness and how easy it is to fill. His only concern is that the cord to hang it with is not very thick.

Fantastic Birdhouse
I am very impressed by the quality of this birdhouse. It is extremely sturdy and well built, using recycled materials rather than wood in its construction ... meaning it won't rot or decay. The hinged roof makes it very easy to load seed, and the side panels may be removed to facilitate cleaning. The unit is fairly heavy, so ensure that you have a nice chain/hooks to hang it from a tree.Definitely recommend this product to bird lovers everywhere!

Good feeder.
The mesh bottom lets rain go through so the seeds do not sit in water. It’s easy to clean and all my birds, from small to large, love it. This is the second one I’ve purchased after seeing how well it holds up and protects the seeds.

good sturdy design
This bird feeder is heavy and solidly built, so keep that in mind when finding a place to mount it. I like the size of this feeder and the screen in the bottom will keep moisture from building up in the seed hopper. The material is recycled plastic which essentially composite lumber so it should last many years. One thing I did find odd for a feeder this nice was the lack of packaging, it was shipped completely unpadded in a box large enough for the feeder to tumble around in. One of the plexiglass panels got broken during shipping but the seller already shipped me a new part to replace the broken one, so customer service was also very good. This feeder is on the pricier side but the build quality justifies the cost, buy once cry once as the saying goes.

The Woodlink feeder is built like the proverbial "brick s**thouse"!
Yup, the Woodlink feeder IS built like the proverbial "brick s**thouse"!I bought two of these to replace two cedar feeders that a young bear destroyed earlier this summer. No feeder can withstand the strength of a hungry bear, but they won't be able to destroy the main components of the Woodlink. Pull it apart, yes, but I'll still be able to reassemble it. (BTW, we bring all of our feeders into the house each night during "bear season", normally mid-November through late-March.)The fact that it's made from recycled plastic, which has non-stick qualities, makes them pretty easy to clean too.I like the fact that the roof is large and covers the feeder tray, which, by the way, is sufficiently large to make the installation of a baking tray unnecessary that I've installed on my other less-expensive hopper feeders.A modification that I did make was to increase the height of the notches, by 1/2", effectively doubling their height, at the bottom of the plexiglass hopper plates to permit peanuts and fruit to pass through. Doing so, does not cause the finer seeds to overflow the ample feed-tray, so I highly recommend that the manufacturer increase the height of the feed notches, as did I.Another suggestion: Add suet screens at each end. I removed the ones from the two bear-destroyed feeders, reinstalling them on the ends of the Woodlink hoppers.Would I buy the Woodlink hopper feeder again? ABSOLUTELY! Pricey? Yes, but the Woodlink is well worth the price. Now, if Woodlink would only a manufacture as tubular nyjer-seed feeder **of the same quality and heft** as their hopper feeder and I'd buy a couple in a New York second. And don't forget to include a 12" diameter tray at the bottom. (I use small, shallow pizza pans into which I drill four, equally-spaced, 3/8" water drain holes.) The birds that are attracted by the nyjer seeds are commonly ground feeders, so the the tray increases the "traffic" at the feeder, reduces ground clutter and, most importantly, protects the birds from cats which may be marauding in the area, attracted by birds on the ground. As always, just my opinion.Montana BobPS: Living where we do, in the foothills of the Bitterroots, we have a ton of wildlife and lots of birds, so I've gone through--and repaired--many bird feeders!

Awesome. Extremely well made in my opinion (of course - made in the USA)
My birds love to eat from an open platform feeder which I try to fill each morning and add a little in the late afternoon. I do not have a problem (yet) with squirrels or other creatures. However, rain ruins the food in the open feeders and I needed a feeder to take care of the birds when I can't be there to feed. This Woodlink Premier Bird Feeder does the job. Its looks great out there and functions even better. It did take about three days for the birds to accept it and they generally only jump to it when the platform is crowded but if the platform is empty of food the birds have no problem hanging out on it. I blend my bird food myself and have not had any feeding problems even though I use everything from black oil sunflower seeds, unshelled peanuts, sunflower hearts and white millet. Rain has not caused any problems as it has all remained dry.It is simple to clean but you are able to remove only one clear panel. The hinged roof only opens on one side. This just means it takes a couple more minutes to clean out but certainly not a deal breaker. The feeder does turn slightly sometimes (45 degrees) thus making it hard for me to view the birds while they eat on the back side. I could probably eliminate that if I though about it hard enough.I am pretty happy with this so far. It accomplished what I wanted it to do and I don't think you would be disappointed with this purchase. I deducted one star because darn this thing is expensive but it is made in the USA!

Wirklich lange gesucht ...

Nice feeder, arrived damaged
This is a nice hopper style bird feeder which works well to keep the seed dry. It attracts both smaller birds and larger ones like blue jays and even mourning doves. It seems well assembled and should last a long time. My only concern with the quality of the components is how well the plastic (polycarbonate?) windows will hold up in the cold weather. There is some flex in them which may lead to cracking over time. However, the biggest negative with this is the manner in which they are shipped. Mine arrived in a box with no packing material whatsoever and one of the windows was broken on arrival. This seems to be a common complaint. With no easy way to contact the supplier to request a replacement, I was left with no other option but to return it and order a another one. Luckily it arrived intact, despite the lack of packing material. Until the supplier changes this, be aware that it's a roll of the dice if you will receive one that's intact or not.
