Powerful alternative to scissors for hard cutting jobs
The media could not be loaded. For when normal scissors just won’t cut it. I was doing a lot of custom canvas fabrication and my hands were getting tired. I figured these shears were a gamble, but worth a try. Now, I bought two more and this is all I use for daily cutting. Packaging, zip ties, layers of tarpaulin canvas, rope. The two blades are bolted tight together at the perfect tolerance so you get a powerful clean cut even when snipping heavy material with the tip of the shears. It’s like having a precision bolt cutter. No blade deflection like normal scissors. The leverage and power is life-changing. No more tired hands. Feels like the shears are doing the work for you. They have stayed sharp for the past month of daily hard use. They’re micro-serrated so not exactly sharpenable, but for me it’s a worthwhile consumable product. For large hands only, it seems. The handle is too large for small hands. Seems like all the benefits go away if you have smaller hands.

Sharp, durable, but a little heavy
I use these shears mainly to cut cardboard, thick landscape fabric, and plastic sheets. The shears does a fantastic job at it. Very sharp, cuts through items like butter, and appears very durable. However, these shears are a little on the heavy side for this female with small, dainty hands. The handles are extremely large, and it’s difficult to use the shears without some minor modification. To make it easier for me to operate the shears, I have minimized the size of the handle holes by taping it with several rounds of soft tape. With this setup, it’s now very comfortable for me to use the shears.

Best Shears of the Year Award
Hands down, the Best Scissors Ever! This is my second pair. I wasn't taking any chances on any mishaps. I've washed them off, cut threw foil, cut meat down to the bone, and these are my main meat Shears. You won't be anything but pleased if you order these Shears. They are guaranteed not to rust or become dull, and the manufacturer kept their word. This is an excellent product. They are super sharp as well.

Scissors to get excited over!
If you don't have at least one pair of these scissors GET some. They are heavy duty scissors, really heavy duty but are not clumsy or heavy feeling when using. I have multiple pairs indoors and outdoors, attic and garage! I have sent some to relatives as gifts and they agree with my assessment of their use.I used them to open big pet food bags, cut chicken off the bone to stir fry, trim tough flower stems, cut through annoying packaging, and that was all over the past 24 hours, 3 different pairs!

Ergonomic, practical and extremely durable
These utility shears are awesome. I happen to own both handle styles. I think I like the feel of these the best but the ones with the finger grooves have never been a disappointment, either. I carry a pair in my tool bag and have used ( ok... abused) them extensively. I have used them to cut everything from small rope / cordage, zip ties, plastics, tape, paper, cardboard, shop rags, soft wire, Emory cloth, scotchbrite pads, rubber, nylon straps, poly banding straps and even light shim stock. (stainless and brass). I’ve opened paint cans with them by prying up the pressed in lip seal... I’m not an advocate of abusing tools or using them improperly but in all honesty I’ve done it in a pinch. My first one is still in very good condition and has a permanent spot in my tool bag. They are stout, perfect sized, ergonomic and resilient. I was so impressed by the 1st pair that I bought a second pair to kit in my “Get home” emergency preparedness bag. These have the straight handle like those pictured.I’ve read other reviewers stating that they have pinched their hands when using these shears. I can certainly see how that is possible. I have never had any issues with pinching and cannot remember ever having pinched myself while using them. I’m left handed but perform many functions right- handed simply because specialty shears are not readily available specifically for left-handed people. These work well with either hand, although I prefer using my right.I also want to say that I have the full size scissors variant. They are every bit as good but I don’t find them quite as handy and convenient.Only wish I have is that a fitted sheath made of quality nylon or leather were available, but that is minor and not really necessary. They do carry well regardless.

strong, good for tougher stuff, blades stick closed sometimes
My wife used them (when new) for cutting up cloth and they worked fine, other than sticking closed sometimes. I suspect they'll break in a bit and be fine, and for the price I paid (and them having a lock) they are pretty good and they have a place in my tool pouch. In a year or so, if they are as good or better, I'll come back and give them another star, but they shouldn't stick when new and not used on tape.

Great scissors for almost every task
Sharp as heck and very easy to use. Cuts through anything with no complaints. The size is very large so not ideal for every single task, but definitely a great value. The offset blades are really nice but can be awkward to handle with the weight.
