EVGA hits another one out of the park! Awesome motherboard...
Another superb motherboard from EVGA. If you are into building performance PC's from scratch as I have been for years, and expect that it will OC as well and as stable as you reasonably can expect, this is it.If you are looking for all the bells, whistles, flashing LED's and cardboard-looking covers hiding the PCB; or find it more fun to push a button or turn a dial to let it overclock on it's own to predefined frequencies, this is not for you. This motherboard offers all the features that you need and will use as well as UEFI bios that allows you to adjust just about anything you want and more.Even though I do it with any motherboards, it booted right up while still in the box and it did as well once the rig was completed. A practice that if I felt comfortable in bypassing, I would only do it with an EVGA board. Your I7-6700K will not find a better home or stretch its legs further than on this board.Upon careful examination, it oozes quality and has an excellent layout for up to four GPU's in SLI. The various connectors are where they need to be and when necessary, oriented in the right direction so as to not interfere with the fourth GPU and allow for a super clean installation. It includes a wired plug where you can measure your voltages and better yet, if you don't have an EVBot from EVGA to assist you further in such process, you may consider getting one from them. The built-in Creative Sound Core3D Audio Processor with the right speakers will knock your socks off; and if you want to experience the performance of Samsung's recent release of their 950 PRO Series based on the NVMe Protocol, you will realize just how quick 32Gbps can be. It also sports the pin-out to install a CPU frequency EVGauge that really adds to the window view of your case's side panel. It is an eATX board and it will require a case intended for the size of the motherboard. If you plan on going with four GPUs make sure that the rear of the case can handle the necessary number of card openings. If you happen to need some assistance, be sure to register your board with EVGA and you will be able to talk to a human that is actually experienced in the EVGA product you have and you can access them through a toll-free number 24/7 (Yes, Sundays as well!) and I would be surprised if within three minutes of placing the call, rather than listening to elevator music for hours on end, you are not being attended by one of EVGA's techs. If it sounds like I am bias towards EVGA (which is obvious if you read my past reviews), I am. But only because I have been purchasing EVGA products (Mostly motherboards and Nvidia GPUs) for many years and they have been simply better and worth every penny. If only statistically, if you buy enough PC components,, no matter who is the supplier or the manufacturer, you are bound to run into a defective item. Considering how many I have purchased over the years, when compared to other manufacturers with whom I have done far less business, the DOA experiences with EVGA have been negligible--maybe twice. No, I don't have any affiliation with EVGA, and my line of work is in civil engineering. I just happen to be passionate for hand built performance PC's and every time I have been tempted into purchasing something other than an EVGA board as in this case, I have come to regret it nearly every time. I see no reason to do that anymore. I've had concerns over the unavoidable growth of EVGA as often, that is accompanied by lesser quality, but thus far, they continue to get better and better. I hope that will not change, as I have relied on them to satisfy my hobby for so long, that I would be at a loss if I ever felt that they have lost their definite edge.If you are a true enthusiast and enjoy working around an enthusiast's motherboard, you won't find a better one or possibly not even an equal. This is as superb a motherboard as you find.

Another homerun by EVGA....
Previous EVGA fan (X58, Z87 Classified and Z97 Classified builds). The previous builds are STILL going strong with their owners (including my brother who loves his Z87 Classified 3770k system). After having friends go on and on about "Asus rulez!" I tried two of their Z170 boards: Z170-E and Hero VIII.I first went frugal with a Z170-E and it eventually died after a week and couldn't handle a 4.5ghz+ overclock (but it was a ~$100 open box special). It also required 1.4v to get my Corsair Vengeance 3200 memory stable.I then went premium ($220) and the Hero suffered from bad DIMM slots and when it did work, was feeding too much Vcore and couldn't handle a 4.8Ghz OC stable even with low temps. In addition, the board emitted an odd "clicking" sound when under load. It, too, required more voltage to run the memory stable (1.375). Not as much as the Z170-E.I returned both (thank you Amazon). After kicking myself for not sticking with EVGA, I ordered the Classified K as I should have from the get go.As always, the board arrived well packed with attention to detail. Everything screams quality from the build to the pack-ins and packaging. This is the signature EVGA experience. Even the little CPU guide so nicely attached to the 1151 socket is a nice touch as well as all the various heatsinks plastic wraps to make sure nothing gets scratched.System specs:Delidded golden 6700k.Noctua NH-D15 Air Cooler (Gelid Extreme TIM)Corsair Vengeance 3200mhz 2x8GB memorySanDisk 512GB M.2 driveAsus FE 1080Corsair Air 540 caseEVGA T2 850w PSUInstallation was straight forward into a Corsair Air 540 case. One major plus for those who want to go all M.2 is this board has THREE M.2 slots (two full, one half). Remember each M.2 slot, when used, will disable portions of your SATA/BUS subsystems (this is par for the course for modern day motherboards). The one major problem is the air cooler was too big and covers the primary PCIE slot so if you had any dreams of running a 4-way SLI system or want to mount your GPU in the primary slot running a Noctua D15 air cooler, forget about it or go water. The Asus boards positioned the slot far enough away from the CPU slot so even with the D15 mounted, I was able to install a GPU into the primary PCIE slot no problem.Board still came with BIOS 1.01 (current is 1.03 as of August 2016), You can update right from the BIOS screen with a USB drive so that was step oneM.2 slots come disabled by default, so make sure to enable whichever slot(s) you will be using.Memory defaults to 2133, but XMP profile @ 3200 worked as listed with no additional voltage needed (Memtest 7.0 cert)After a weekend of stress testing and finding my CPUs "sweet spot" (Vcore at 1.4 or less and temps at ~85), I was able toget a stable overclock at 5ghz @ 1.35v passed RealBench stress test for an hour, Wprime 1024, Prime95 26.6, Cinebench R10, R15.I haven't pushed it any higher for benching, but 5Ghz will be my day to day frequency. One thing I like about this board versus the ASUS is that it doesn't come with any preset overclocks. For example, right out of the box the Asus was pushing for 4.2 or "easy overclock" modes or feeds too much Vcore at default. Everything is stock, default and all settings and tweaks are manual with a surprising amount of collapsible menus.PROS:Build qualityAble to push 6700k to 5ghz stable on airComes with Three M.2 slots (2 full one half).Full ATX (3x3 screw mounts)Cushioned I/O PlateExcellent, extensive heatsinks for cool runningExtensive pack-insOn board Power/Reset and Code display that also displays CPU temp during useOverclocked better than my previous Asus Z170-E and Asus Maximus Hero VIIIAdditional PCIE power port for extra slot stabilityEverything well markedCONS:CPU socket is positioned closer to PCIE slot 1 than other motherboards, so some large coolers will block slot 1 from being usedManual is a little sparse (but who needs manuals, eh?!)Only two front case fan headers and one of them is positioned oddlyOnly one USB 2.0 header (Not a problem for most, but should be noted)It's just a great board and I wished I had listened to my gut and past experiences and stuck with EVGA for this build. I won't make thatmistake again.....

Needs more high speed PCI slots
I would love to rate this 5 stars.... it's a great motherboard. I got 2 evga GTX 1080s to put on this board in SLI. I thought I could install the cards with one pci gap between the cards to let air circulate better but realized that the 3rd slot was 4x. The card can be used on a 16x or 8x but I believe a 4x will hinder the memory bandwidth. I can only use the first 2 slots. So I called evga and told them all that I have and they said it was ok. I was worried about overheating. Well I installed it and after playing a few mins of Rise of the Tomb Raider it reached 92°C .... not good.. I opened the box so I'm not sure I can return it yet.. the seller is good,,, fast delivery and on time. This board is only an issue for ppl that plan on using multiple cards... I don't use liquid cooling but it may be the only way to go.

Good shipping. Beautiful board, about to test product. FAILED - utter garbage
4 stara for now. Shipped fast, had a faukty hard drive first try, used celeron g3900 as a jumper cpu to flash the bios and slap the i7 7700k in, works... hard drived arrived today, will update asap.Update: I tried new psu, new ram... new hard drives.EVGA you pissed me off for the last time. Unless The product is used and tested in front of me, I willl NOT be suporting evga. In the years ive tried evga, ive never had anything from them work. I figured they have to sell stuff thats decent... well all i could use on this board with the bios... what a waste of LIFE.As of now this board is nothing to observe, go get 2017 or newer motherboard, not this one from Q1 2015

Easy to use and powerful motherboard
This mother board is so easy to install and configure.Over clocking a i7 6700k is a child play now.. Thanks to EVGA.I an using a M.2 NVME as my main drive, HyperX Savage 480Gb has home storage and WD 3T blue as backup HDD.The configuration was a breese. Be sure to install latest drivers for windows 10.It went to must first build since 10 years ago. I guess time passes by and companies like EVGA are evolving in the right direction.

Buen producto

Excellent product
Great motherboard. Using with i7 6700k and MSI R9 390. Booted up with no issues and didn't even have to reinstall windows 10. Worked on the install for my old hardware. Appears to be very good build quality.
