Brought new life to a slow old laptop
My 6 year old Dell Latitude E5540 came with 4GB of RAM. It had gotten so slow I couldn't hardly use it. This Samsung Memory fit the Specs perfectly so I decided to give it a try. The memory I received was genuine Samsung memory and arrived quicker than expected. It was super easy to install. My laptop booted right up with nothing else to do on my part. WOW!!! What a difference. It really is as though I have a new laptop. It runs great now. I am amazed that all it took was a memory upgrade to improve the performance this much. I am no longer in the market for a new laptop.

If you have 6 rams or less it is well worth upgrading to 16!
With a name like Samsung you know you’re getting the best. I just recently bought an Acer laptop at a very low price but as they say you get what you pay for. It had 6 RAMs of memory causing it to be slow and sluggish when starting up and streaming so I took the plunge and purchased these two cards, 8 rams each giving me 16 rams total. Very easy to install. Encountered no problem when I booted up the computer. What an incredible amount of speed this gave me. The improved performance made the upgrade well worth the price.

Worked perfectly with zero fuss
I tossed these into my wife's ancient i7-powered ASUS, and it went from a capable but somewhat sloggy worker to a breathtakingly powerful lap-deity. The only drawback is you have to have a plan for dealing with all the drooling you'll be doing into your poor, crumby keyboard. If you have a decent older laptop you'd like to breathe new life into, get this first, then a nice fat SSD. It won't make your laptop into a gaming beast of course, especially if you've got so-so onboard graphics. But what it will do is make your machine zippy as hell. No more time-obliterating hanging while switching between resource-intensive applications. And honestly, i know we all love to badmouth Samsung here and there (not me, i've never had a bad Samsung product in my life, including some weird things you probably didn't even know they made - get a Samsung window A/C unit and thank me later), but their stuff really is solid af.Inevitable disclaimer: know your specs; respec your specs. Do not deviate from optimum values in any regard, my babies. Measure twice, cut none.

Easy to install for someone who doesn't know how
I ordered this for my Asus something or other that only had 4 something or other and I was going to pull my hair out and laugh at the same time because of the slowness of the laptop. Consulted my self proclaimed genius nephew for his advice and he told me to buy this. Price was right, although the shipping took longer than normal prime. It came faster than accepted so that made me happy. I was going to wait until my tech savvy friend was available to help me install the cards but I was so delirious about having such a slow computer that I took it upon myself to do it. I had her on the phone. It made me feel better. It was moral support. And yes, she laughed as I worked and cheered and yayed myself on.Three little screws on the bottom on the computer were easily removed but the cover was removed tenderly as I felt if I used my full force it would snap into a million pieces. It didn't. There are a couple of clips in the plastic that had to be maneuvered. Then there are metal clips on each side of the cards. I tried pushing on the cards to make them come up. Didn't work. I tried wiggling the cards. Didn't work. I then remembered the review I read when I bought the laptop. The metal clips pop out on either side. Viola! It worked. Old cards were removed and the new ones were placed into position. There is a little notch in the cards that will show you which way the cards need to be placed. Then metal clips were put back into position and cover was popped back on. I turned the lap top on and it was a smidge faster. As I used it, I noticed it getting faster and faster. I got happier and happier. As the final step, the screws for the cover were placed back in. It was a success. The computer in maxed out on memory something or other. So to someone that knows enough about computers to know it's running way too slow but not enough to feel comfortable changing parts, this part is easy enough for you. Even if your friend is on the phone for moral support, you can do this. You can change this. I have faith in you. If I can do it, you can do it. And feel free to call for moral support.

Good reliable memory
Upgraded my DDR3 RAM to 16GB on an older Dell Lattitude E6230 and the laptop runs Win10 super smooth and fast along with the SSD drive. Laptop is over 10 years old but still runs perfectly. I don't use it for heavy computing but streaming and multitasking is a breeze, no matter how many windows I have open. Good quality Samsung RAM chips.

Good value, great results
The memory upgrade was a must to give life to an older laptop. Along with an SSD this should add several years to this pc. Packaging was practically non existent though. It arrived in an anti static sleeve in a lightly padded shipping envelope. Modules were not damaged, but since it arrived through the USPS is was a miracle that they weren’t. Still happy with the purchase though and the great price and increase in performamce.

Thought it was the ram.... it wasn't.
I'm not entirely sure if it's all coincidence or if this fried my macbook pro mid 2012. After installment, my mac ran great, ran fast, and didn't show any signs of any issues. After using GPS programming for a couple of weeks and doing school work only, my mac started freezing and taking a long time to load. After it was acting up I restarted the computer to which it never booted up. I troubleshooted with apple support and nothing. So I took out these ram sticks and placed the old 4gb in. Turned on and ran first aid again. Problem fixed itself and it booted up.I tried putting the 16gb back in and then my mac just died.UPDATE 1/8/2020I came back to my mac to see if I could fix it. Turns out it was the old HDD on the computer that died. I upgraded to a SSD, used these ram sticks, and my mac runs better than it did before it died. I changed my star rating to a 1 to 4 rating. My mac is reading that the memory is 16 gb. Been a couple weeks and still going strong.
