Works great
We have used Jacobs chucks probably several thousand times over the years, and they have never disappointed us. As expected, this chuck is well machined, threads smoothly, grips very well, and is easy to tighten. A good price point, too. This is one of those items that is exceedingly important when you're doing a job yet something you don't even think about - unless it malfunctions. We haven't had a Jacobs chuck malfunction yet. Very happy with this.

Wonderful as Replacement for Keyed Chuck
Per some discussions by top-notch machinists, keyless chucks are much more accurate than the "original" chuck invented by Jacobs, which has the key; they are somewhere in between keyed chucks and collets.Jacobs has a great name and the quality has been right up there, for a keyless chuck at this price. I'm not looking for a few ten-thousands or hundred-thousands of inch and this is perfect to replace the awkward keyed chuck which came on the equipment-and which got locked inside the keyed chuck when I put it in there to prevent loss. Had to buy a new key to get that one out!So, no more lost keys, no more fiddling trying to get the key in and tighten, so this is quicker by far, grip is fantastic--at least what the keyed chuck was--and so much faster.Whatever you have that came with a keyed chuck, replace it with this and every time you use it, you'll love it all over again.

Get this chuck for your Black and Decker LDX120
The Black&Decker LDX120 drill has awesome potential. I have put mine through all kinds of abuse and it still works great. The only problem is that the chuck is difficult to get it tight, and even when I get it as tight as I can, loosens up with moderate use. This chuck is the perfect solution. It is easy to tighten and holds bits without issue.HOW TO REMOVE THE OLD CHUCK AND INSTALL THE NEW ONE: You need aT20 torx wrench like this: Stanley 60-012 T20 Standard Torx Screwdriver.1. stick the T20 wrench into the chuck opening and turn clockwise to loosen and remove the screw while holding the chuck with your other hand. It is on tight, so it will require some force to break it loose.2. unscrew the old chuck turning it counter clockwise.3. reverse the steps to install the new chuck. I added a little blue thread lock gel (vibratite) before putting the T20 screw back in.

Not what was described
The product is good, but not what was described. I thought it was just a mistake they sent me the wrong one, so I reordered it And they sent the same thing again. It’s described as a 3/8-24 thread drill chuck, but I kept getting a 1/2-20 thread drill chuck. That won’t work for me at all.Seems like a good product though

Fit fine, but no longer made in USA
I purchased this chuck to replace a Jacob’s chuck w/ key on an old drill from the 90’s. I had no issues w/ installing the new chuck. So far it’s been operating just fine.My only gripe is how my original Jacob’s chuck is Made in the USA and this new one is made in China. We’ll see how this impacts its longevity, because the original 30yr old chuck still works just fine, but I wanted the ease of a keyless one.I also repair medical equipment and the “new” Jacob’s chucks that some of the equipment use are made in China now too. Unfortunately….

Exact replacement for LDX120 chuck
LDX120 chuck was discontinued. To Black & Decker's credit, they do recommend a replacement chuck that is a newer model. However, before I got that info, I found this Jacobs check whose compatibility with my drill was validated by other reviewers. I took a chance on it. Sure enough, it fits perfectly and operates without issues. Saved me from buying a whole new cordless driver.

Works as advertised
Works pretty well, replaced a stripped chuck with this 1. Have noticed it is kinda tough to tighten down some times and smaller bits are hard pressed to not spin in it.The thickness of it also get in the way from time to time

Nice Chuck for the money.
I replaced the original Chuck on my Black & Decker Drill Model LDX220 with this Jacobs Chuck. Wasn’t sure about quality or function, but I gave it a shot. Turns out this Jacobs Chuck was a good choice! Fit perfectly on the drill and gave me a much better grip on drill bits. Also Phillips, straight, Torx etc screw diving attachments. The black hand tightening front portion of the Chuck was a much better design than the original B&D Chuck. It allows you to get a GOOD grip on it so as to tighten it sufficiently to hold the bit/attachment in place. The original Chuck would always loosen up after several uses. All in All, good price, solid Chuck!
