It is a good size, well made, fits well in bathroom, and easy to use. It is very sturdy, and though I thought it was a bit pricy at first, the quality makes it a good value.

So many of the stainless steel trashcans fit a 13 gallon trash bag but they all seem small. They don't seem to fit much inside can. It can be filled once the bag is out of the Stainless Steel trash can.Not this one! This one has ample room. Love the shape. It hugs the wall. Easy step open. Shuts softly Would highly recommend. Check your measurements before ordering so it fits in the area needed.The only thing that could have been better - fulfillment could do a better job. First one came - no packing and entire front dented in. Could have been done during the delivery process. The box had been re-taped. Returned it with no problem and ordered another one. This second one came with the proper packing - it just had a return slip in it from someone else.

After reading reviews I was worried that this would arrive damaged, but it was the best choice for the price that I could find so I ordered it anyway. Sure enough, it came with a dent in the side. The box is not damaged, so I would conclude that it had to be dented prior to shipping. It’s a smaller dent and I was able to knock *most* of it out, and that side sits against the wall, so it still works for me.The can itself is sturdy, easy to insert and remove standard size drawstring kitchen trash bags, and the foot pedal works nicely and seems like it will hold up. I was afraid it would feel small, but I can stuff it as full as my old plastic one. I like that I can scoot it out from the wall a bit and leave the lid standing open for a while if I need to.Overall, I definitely recommend it, but the possibility of it coming dented is very real.

My garbage never looked so good. My kitchen looks high class cause of this thing. My mother bought it for me because she always complains about my old plastic garbage bins. which are everywhere. I have a lot of garbage and I keep the lids off so it’s easier and faster to throw my crap away.I don’t understand. What’s the big deal about my plastic garbage cans but to her it’s a big deal. They get on her nerves really bad. I could care less. I thought Hey you want to buy them, go for it ma. Please -you can buy me five more of these beautiful garbage cans!!!they’re huge and they’re beautiful!!!But I had an issue in the beginning and that was the closed lid. I already mentioned that I don’t like the lids. I don’t want to have to use my foot to open it up every time. I’m always in a rush or completely drained from work and too lazy to stop and open the lid. I just want to throw out my crap now. I have no patience. Or I try to get some points throwing it out from a distance. The thing is -You can keep the lid up!!! -that is the best part of it because at first I thought I HAD to step on the foot pedal to open it.I was like this isn’t gonna work, but it stays open if you want it to. When my mother comes over or guests, I’ll keep it closed and I take my time throwing out my garbage - whatever it takes to make my mom happy.

The media could not be loaded. Even though the item listing stated that it was a stainless steel trashcan, I still had reservations, because I was worried I would get an item that's plastic painted to only look like stainless steel or a plastic trashcan with very thin stainless steel veneer. I was pleasantly surprised. This was a very solid metal trashcan, which is much more dent resistant than the Kohler kitchen trashcan we previously purchased from Costco! It comes with a removable black plastic inner can, making it easy to line with trashbags.After several struggles with the motion detection trashcans, I decided I like the "old school" stepper cans because they're just plain more responsive and last a lot longer than those motorized ones.As far as being smudgeproof, I don't believe there's ANY metal that's truly smudgeproof. My hands were clean and you could still see smudges left behind, but the metal is very easy to clean.The lid is soft close whether you use the pedal to open it or if you open it by hand (I don't know why you'd ever do that, but I just tested it out just because I wanted to know lol).I wouldn't hesitate buying this or recommending this to a friend or family. It's a definitely thumbs up for me.
