For the price this can't be beat. I make my own vitamin C serum on a weekly basis and this bad boy is going to last me forever!! It is not a fine powder!! I know others have said that they have issues with it not dissolving fully in water because of the larger crystal size and I've encountered this as well. I have a nutribullet with the milling blade. So... I milled this to a finer powder (not super super fine though) and still had some issue with it dissolving fully. If you use hot or warm water, this stuff dissolves instantly and won't recrystallize. So just nuke your water for 30 seconds in the microwave. I think if I were to repurchase I wouldn't bother with milling it and just use warm or hot water to dissolve the crystals.I am particular to L Ascorbic acid over other forms of vitamin C since I've seen the best results with post acne hyperpigmentation. I have used L-Ascorbic acid by simply mixing the powder into my sunscreen, lotion, body lotion, or just added it to water. If you have ever used Philosophy's Turbo Booster C Powder it's just 99.9% L-Ascorbic acid powder with a ginormous markup ($39/ 0.25 oz). Why waste your money?For making my weekly Vitamin C serum I like to use rosewater- don't know if it actually helps with anything, but I love the smell.I use 2 teaspoons of vitamin C powder and 4 teaspoons of microwaved rose water then I test this with a pH strip!!. This makes an approximate 20% solution. The pH is usually around 2 pH. This is too acidic and you'll likely wind up with irritated red/flaky skin. I adjust the pH to around 3-3.5 pH using baking soda. I add teeny tiny increments and test using pH strips till it gets to the 3-3.5 pH range. I haven't had any skin irritation issues with this adjustment and the results are great. I find using a vitamin C serum prevents hyperpigmentation and minimizes my acne.Whenever the solution starts to tint yellow or orange it's time to throw it away. It means it has oxidized and will cause adverse skin reactions if used- so don't. What I make lasts me about a week with daily use.Definitely worth a purchase!

I have to do a solid for Resurrection Beauty. I'm new to making my own serums and still learning a great deal. Resurrection Beauty's vitamin C is my third brand to purchase. After my purchase was well on its way to me, I then decided to read the reviews of the product. They gave me concern that my product would not dissolve enough.This prompted an experiment as soon as my vitamin C powder arrived. I took a lidded jar and put some vitamin C powder in it, added some filtered water, and let it sit for a while, probably fifteen or more minutes. It dissolved just fine. I took the few teaspoons of water with the visibly dissolved product in it, and ran every drop over my hands a little at a time, feeling it as well.Perhaps for dissolving in your hand for immediate use, this vitamin C powder may not work as quickly as some. For dissolving in water for homemade serums, it seems to work as well as both of the other, more expensive brands I've purchased.

Just mixed it in with my serum yesterday.Doesn’t come with instructions so I chatGPT-ed some.I measured out mixed with vegetable Glycerin and then added to my silky serum that I made and love.Hours later after mixing, the crystals were still in there and when I applied to my face , the serum changed from silky to scratchy.Don’t like that.***It should be better dissolved, come with instructions, and come with a measuring scoop.

Unless you plan on making a lot of serum at once and letting it sit for days before use, you're going to end up feeling grits on your fingers when you use your serum.Since LAA degrades quickly I and most people I know prefer to just mix a serum as needed. However, the size of the crystals probably will affect those making a batch of serum too.I put it with water and glycerin in a bottle and shake it vigorously, and it doesn't fully dissolve. I let it sit for an hour then shake it again and it's not dissolved. I put some of my leftover serum out in the air for 2 days just to see if it'd be easier to dissolve after some time- nope. Still at least 1/4 of the LAA visible.I won't give a poor review because it IS LAA and it's fine as far as I can tell. But just for people who are going to buy - don't expect it to be a powder. It's not. And if there were one on Amazon that was more powder-like, I would buy it even if it was more expensive.For now, I will just let the undissolved crystals settle and use the serum that does have the dissolved C. I'm not getting the concentration I measure this way, though.Next time I will try crushing some of the granules into powder with two spoons and update my review
