Grandson loves this series. Great reading for kids

My granddaughter who is turning 8 loves reading these books.

My boys 7 and 9, who are not big readers, LOVE this series. We use these books for our read aloud time (parents read to kids). They beg me to read more. My 9 year old could read the series himself. My 9 year old only liked non-fiction until this series. The stories are unexpected. The series is not for those who are cautious with the word "hate". A.J., the main character, hates a lot of things, but the unusual story perspective really is a winner in my house.You might find it helpful to know that this author has 2 other series, specials, and a future series with the same characters. I was confused when I ordered this set compared to the 21 book set. I didn't realize they were different series with the same characters. Great gift for young readers.

I have struggled with my 8 year old for the past couple of years with reading. An A student who hates reading. I could only see potential hazards ahead. I really wanted to show her that reading could be fun. We had read 3 books from these Weird school series and I decided to buy this box set. I convinced her that reading in the car during our 20 minute commute to and from school would replace the 30 minutes reading at home in the evening. The first few days were a struggle, but soon, we would get in the car and she would pick up the books on her own. We would laugh and talk about the characters and guess about what we would think might happen next. Soon, she was bringing the books inside. And to my surprise this week, when we were sitting and waiting for an appointment, I handed her my cell phone to keep her "busy".... but to my surprise, she handed the phone back to me and pulled out one of these books to read while we waited. Later, she caught me up on what happened in the book and then we speculated about what will happen next. I have tears in my eyes. I always enjoyed reading. I certainly hope this momentum continues. Came in just as described. Decent price. I love these books. My son loves these books. My sons teacher sent a couple home for his at home reading and he LOVED them. I decided to buy 2sets and we read all of them so far. They are really funny and each book has a tie to another book. We spent so much fun bonding time reading these. My son is 8 and it’s his favorite time of the day. They are written from the perspective of a 2nd-3rd grade boy. They are funny for kids and adults.

Purchased this for my grandson (6). He immediately noticed there are two number 8 books and number 10 is missing. Is there anyway this can be corrected? He’s really excited about reading this series.

My son loved these books! everytime he’s reading them he’s laughing, and I enjoy to watch him while reading and listening to what he shares with me about the stories.

This set is a hilarious collection, its given us a wonderful time. My kid who is a 6+ and an early reader, could not stop and finished the whole collection in little over a week. Caution: This book will teach your kids lot of words that border with politeness, so you need to be prepared how you strike a balance between fun and don'ts. Given a choice would have waited a year or two for this book. Hence holding up on other sets

My 9-year-old son loves this set. He reads about 30 min from the series every night and they make him very happy. Great buy!
