Clear mud well
I ride a 29+ bike in the PNW daily. All of my trails, rail trails and roads are wet! Sticky sand, mud and road grime make clipping in challenging but these allow for solid clip-ins with little effort. They feel like they have lots of float. There are two choices to be made, 13* release or 17* release. I tried the 17* release for all of an half hour! You practically have to take your shoe off to un-clip! These pedals are hell for stout and offer lots of platform. I like them.

I'm getting back into mountain biking after a 15 year layoff. I purchased a new bike and thought that I would try a set of Crank Bros pedals. I went to the trail and found myself having to look at my feet to clip in and even doing that I wasn't always successful. I figured that it was me and I would figure it out. Well after a half dozen times or so to the trail I didn't seem to be improving with my feel for the pedals so I decided to return to a familiar friend that I never thought about. I used Time atac's on both my old mountain bike and road bike. and never had a problem so, I looked and found these pedals. I replaced the CB pedals and first time I tested them it was "Click" "Click" in then out and I kicked myself because while you ride you shouldn't have to think about your pedals I now I don't. I'll never try a different type of pedal again. Now I have a new appreciation for the Time ATAC's something that I used to take for granted and just thought all pedals were on the same level. Time atac's just work! They do what there supposed too and now I can concentrate on the trail and not my feet.

Two sets have now snapped off at the crank and I am not a heavy guy. One maybe....two is a QC problem.

Nothing better than ATACs for mountain biking
Nothing better than ATACs for mountain biking, and these perform like all the other models. Somewhat smaller than the old ATAC Z pedals, but still a good sized platform.

Super Reliable, Low Maintenance, and Durable
I raced three Enduro seasons on the ATAC DH pedals on some of the most challenging downhill courses on the west coast and they proved to be absolutely awesome! My pedals endured multiple rock strikes and extreme conditions ranging from almost freezing mud to very hot and dusty and their performance (spring tension and bearings) remains consistent! The DH model doesn't offer tension adjustment but I found them suitable for most situations and although the DH is probably the heaviest model they are a great value considering you won't need to replace them for years to come!I upgraded to the XL Ti recently so I'm sticking with Time!
