Typical side markers
I purchased these lights to replace broken ones on a recently purchased trailer. The only issue I had is that these lights use a straight-on connector for the power wire. I found that if not placed *exactly* centered in the hole drilled, the metal connector would vibrate, contact the side of the hole, and short out the light. I wrapped all 4 power leads in electrical tape to try and counter this tendency.Better solutions would be to heat-shrink the connector, drill a larger hole, or add a spacer behind the light's shell to move the connector away from the trailer frame. As a reminder, these lights are grounded through the 2nd mounting bolt. Make sure you have a clean ground when you install them.

Good replacement for OEM
These markers/lights were good replacements for the originals on my trailer. Much brighter! I gave only 4 stars since 1 out of the 8 lights didn't work and the provided metal screws are junk. You will have buy better screws if you plan to use on a normal steel. Also, be careful with the tabs that snap into the bezels. As show in the photos, I broke the tabs on two of the lights when I removed them with a metal screwdriver. Use a plastic pry tool. Contacted customer service and they gave me credit to buy 3 new markers. As stated in other reviews, you will likely have to drill new holes if your trailer is older. My trailer is 15 years old so I had spent several hours drilling new holes and wiring the 8 new lights, but I'm happy with the end results.
