Fit my 2004 olds alero
These fit my 2004 Olds Alero. Easy to replace with a little force. They're as heavy as the original struts they replaced. They look well made. I've been driving around with them on for a few weeks now. My car rides better now.

Rides like a new car again
I never write reviews, but I am really impressed with these, so it is deserved. I purchased a set of 4 for what the parts house charges for 1. I wondered if the quality would be low like the price, but they are well built and packaged. I installed them on a 2005 Chevy Classic (malibu) with 148,000 miles of rough dirt roads on it. Needless to say, my old ones were a road hazard. Within a few hours, all 4 were on, and after lowering the jacks, the car sat 1 1/2 inches higher in the rear, and 1 inch higher in the front! It no longer sinks from just one person getting in. All my clunks and rattles are gone, and had it not been for my dusty interior, I would swear I was in a brand new car! No special tools needed, but I do recommend an impact wrench, as reinstalling the lower 2 bolts requires alot of strength the seat the splined bolt in the hole. Great product, amazing results! Actually had fun changing them too.

Fit my 05 grand am perfectly, have some noise to them but dont care, the car has a lot of miles on it, just needed something to restore the ride to it and these worked good for that, cant complain, would recommend them.

Rear struts are taller than original struts.
The instructions indicate the rear struts are taller than the original. Didn't think that was a problem till driving at night and the headlights were too low. Thought adjusting the headlamps would be a snap. Turns out you cannot raise the lights enough to compensate for the extra strut length. Destroyed the adjusters trying to get the lights in alignment. After a couple hundred dollars for new adjusters I decided to put the old struts back in. Guess they should have told me ... 'They almost fit'. Will never buy from Detroit Axle again ...
