Husband loves it!!
My husband was looking for a skinning rack and we came across this. And it’s perfect. The best part is that it attaches to the ball hitch of your truck or ATV. This makes harvesting your deer (or other animal) easy and convenient. When you’re done, you simply take it apart and store it until next time. The materials are heavy duty, the rack itself is very sturdy. We love it!! 10/10 would recommend!!

Quick, easy build. No missing parts.
The shipping box was beat up, but the parts were all fine and nothing was missing. Make sure you open the box where you’ll easily see if a small nut falls out and don’t throw anything away until it’s completely built. The small parts were wrapped up good, but one of the small lock-nuts had fallen out. I found it and finished the build.Only negative is that the 25” gambrel doesn’t allow the latch to close on the winch hook (pictured). I don’t expect that to cause issue, but I’ll likely take a screwdriver and force it closed anyway.I haven’t hoisted anything with it yet, but I’ll update once I have a deer on it.

Easy to use, comes with two gambrels ( short and wide ) the cable is long 25', loading the deer into the truck bed is very easy, it is a little heavy (steel) ..overall I am pleased with it. Use it twice, it saved time and energy loading the deer into my pickup truck and mine is tall SOG ! Comes apart but it takes no more than 15 minutes to assemble then it turns into 3 pieces.

Price is right.
I use this to load 2 small motor cycles in my pick-up. Works great and is sturdier than I expected.

Braided cable is fraying after first use, stabilizer too flimsy to hold gamble in place
Assembly was as difficult as any Chinese made product with wholly inadequate instructions. Assembled parts must be disassembled to assemble. Took me two tries to put together correctly, I think, some hardware left over?First operation issue: When you crank the gamble all the way up into the stabilizer brackets, the bracket will bend outward, requiring you to continue cranking the cable up, and eventually the hook will be on the roller (not ideal). Even with the hook on the roller (wound up as much as possible) the gamble is not secure, and will jump out of the notches and rotate. I'll be attaching some sort of bracket to the stabilizer to keep the ends together, hopefully that fixes this problem.Second issue: After hanging my first deer on the rack I grabbed the cable to pull back down and noticed the cable was fraying every few inches. These are very fine metal strands that are fraying, so they are sharp, will puncture skin (and rubber gloves), so be careful.Overall you get what you pay for I suppose. I live in an area where deer must be quartered in the field to leave the spine/brain in the locality harvested. For these reasons I'll keep this thing and hopefully tweak it to improve its operability.

Great unit. Can't wait to try it
I was going to weld a traiker hitch crane and was looking online for fabrication ideas when I came across this unit. For that price, the fabrication time and material cost was too great. It's well made and swivels on a bearing. The only thing I'd change would be to offer a trailer crank swivel stiff leg on the bottom horizontal leg. That could possibly rate the unit at a higher weight.Thats the 4 for sturdiness although as designed, it meets what irated at. at.I'll be using it for deer and elk

Solid but way heavier than it needed to be
Likes: Fairly easy to assemble. See note in dislike about instructions.Very solid materials with locking nuts.Fit my truck's trailer hitch mount with no issues.Dislikes: Too Heavy. I believe this could have been made from maybe tubular aluminum with the same use in mind and been more than strong enough to lift a deer. It would have been less than half the weight and still functioned fine and most importantly, safely. I could be wrong here admittedly, but this is a very heavy construction. The instructions were hard to read, and the pictures were black and white blurry. Not from the photography but the paper and ink used to print them were worn or something. That said, there's not a ton of parts to assemble and I also saw they do have a video on amazon for assembling the hoist which was very good. All in all, it's great aside from the weight. I would recommend this hoist!
