Installation tips
Very nice industrial-style fixture. I mounted two horizontally on the walls of my garage.Suggestions for installation:1. Before trying to install, completely remove the screw that clamps the cage closed. Remove the cage. (On my lights the protective cage would not come off if I just loosened the screw. It only worked if the screw was completely out of the nut. Seems like a longer screw might be better.) Unscrew the glass globe.2. Install light bulb. I used. GE Lighting 67616 Dimmable LED A19 Light Bulb with Medium Base, 10-Watt, Daylight, 4-Pack . (The GE LED bulbs are bright. All of them worked.) You could install the bulb later but it's much easier to do it now.3. Remount the glass globe. DO NOT mount the wire cage because it obstructs the attachment screws.4. Start the two mounting screws into the electrical box. Just finger tight. Thread just a few turns so the heads will be free to engage the base of the fixture. Heads should be "proud" of the electrical box.5. Wire fixture to your outlet box. Three wire nuts are included. You will only need two nuts if you choose to connect the ground wire to a ground screw in the electrical box. Connection was easy because the black wire and white wire ends were already stripped.6. Fold wires as needed. Slide slots on base of fixture so they engage the two screws. Tighten with Phillips screwdriver or bit (size P1 or P2).7. Remount the cage. A Phillips screwdriver may be the only tool you need because the square nut is easily held with fingers while tightening the screw.Enjoy. I hope these installation tips are helpful to someone.

Utilitarian and Good Quality
Installed it in the crawl space under the house. Very nice light fixture. Utilitarian and well made. Looks nice too, but that’s subjective and who’s going to see it? Lol

deceptive picture
The picture shows 2 lights but the box only contains one.Replying to other reviews.-this does fit on a standard light electrical box-the same light is available at Home Depot cheaper-taking the cage off does require some strength but you do not have to bend it out of shape-the holes to mount are not covered by the glass and the glass is easy to remove if the cage is off-this requires a mounting box so if you need wire nuts you will need a box to put them in.On the hole not a bad light just not compatible with the project I am working on. I've ordered 2 lights from Home Depot and will hold on to this one for some undefined future project.

Construction
They appear to be on the less than sturdy side. They are working fine, but, the bar is abit less than what I was anticipating.

Inexpensive little fixture to help protect the bulb and my head
I installed this fixture in a crawlspace so I no longer have to worry about smashing my head into an exposed bulb. Wonderful! It's a pretty basic fixture that's easy to install. You can choose to use the glass shade (which screws on) or the cage (which slides on over a lip), or both. I decided to just use the cage since there's no moisture where I installed it.

Nice light, just what I was looking for
nice light, just what I was looking for. Remodeled my workout room to look industrial, Grey ceiling with sand additive in paint & faux brick paneling. These were the perfect fixtures not only aesthetically, but they protect the bulb in case I inadvertently hit hit while doing insanity or T25.....lots of jumping & moving. Easy installation, took 15 minuets to install 2 of them

Easy Installation & Looks Great!
Simply loosened a screw to open the cage, unscrewed the glass jar, attached the wire nuts (black to black, white to white, and ground wire), screwed the base into the ceiling, put in a 75W light bulb (100W max), screwed on the glass jar, and tightened a screw to mount the cage. Looks great!

light a storage area for tractor
We put 3 of these light up in a outdoor storage area for our tractors. They do the job to light up the area but my husband says they will be a pain to change the light bulb.
