I bought this for a friend of Barbadan descent. She wants her daughter to know the type of music from her culture.This is great (not my type of music but then it wasn't for me!! I listened to the local library copy). Hence only the four stars.All the tunes are well thought out, accurately represent the culture the particular cd focuses on and they're upbeat enough to capture your young one's attention whilst not becoming a source of annoyance to any adult within listening distance.[...]Browse their website for the whole range of music.I own their African Women and African Playground cd's and their Celtic Crossroads cd. All of which are incredibly pleasant to listen to, given that their primary audience is children.Buy buy buy!! You'll not be disappointed.

I love the Putumayo series of children's music. I owned a children's play center and wanted music playing in the background. Some children's song can be very, let's say, annoying for adult to be subjected to for hours at a time. I and others found these CDs to be fabulous! With music from around the world, children are exposed to different languages, rhythms and instruments. I highly recommend these CDs!

The Putumayo children's discs are the antidote to mind-numbing repetitive kid music. They are lively, fun, and engaging music for kids and adults alike. Be sure to also buy "African Playground" and "Latin Playground". Burn your "Wiggles" and "Chipmunks" CD's! Once you and your kids hear this you won't go back.

My child and I love this music! She is 3 years old. I love the cd insert that describes the background of each song and that the music is multicultural upbeat and not the typical kids music or Nick Jr. Show CDs. You won't be disappointed.

I purchased this for my 2 year old niece whose parents play a large variety of music for her throughout the week. They loved that this CD had at least two Haitian songs on it, since my niece is half-haitian. great gift!

I was expecting songs for younger kids. Great music, but not for young kids.

Putumayo releases some enjoyable compliation albums, Caribbean Playground included. However, not all the tracks on this collection are strong. This album is worth adding to your collection---but it not one that you'll continue playing over and over again.

My two yearvold daughter has been dancing to these since she was tiny and still loves them. I only wish that this edition had the same songs as earlier editions.

A lovely cd to which my daughter dances to every time she hears it. She has also shared the music at nursery and all the toddlers love it!

Bought for my grandchildren . They listen on the way to and from school. Parents like it as well.
