Q: How does it work on cat hair on furniture?

I'm not sure about cat hair, however it didn't work for my doggy. I ended up buying a lint roller with better results

Q: Does this work on short straight hairs? I have a puggle and nothing seems to work.

I have a rat terrier and it works as well as other brushes. I would say it may brush 75% of the hair up. I still have to hand-pick hairs. I do like the built-in cleaner. You do have to insert brush a few times to get most of hair off. Hope this helps.

Q: How does it work in cars?

Pretty well actually. It's thin enough to get between most seats, and into crevices, and the material that lifts the fur easily conforms into the shape of a seat or underneath even. I keep one in the car for the purpose of cleaning out the fur on occasion.

Q: How does it work on carpet in cars?

I haven't used it on carpet in a car. I have used it on a rug in my office (made from a piece of carpet) and it worked really well.
