A great game with excellent controls and lots do do.
This is a great game with a lot of depth. The controls are perfect, and the frame rate is nearly perfect! The graphics are beautiful. There are a couple of glitches, but that's expected in a game that offers so much. I Highly recommend it!

Each car and track feels alive and like a unique and new challenge
I’m a long time sim racing fan and have played nearly all of them since the mid 90’s. What seperates Project Cars 2 from its rivals is the attention detail in not only the physics and tire model, but the tracks and environments as well. Each car and track feels alive and like a unique and new challenge. With over 180 cars and lots of tracks that’s a lot gameplay. Sound is also excellent and makes the sim very immersive. As of 11/28/17 there are some issues and small bugs, I have not had much fun racing the AI , Texas Motor speedway has issues with grip . I think all of this will be fixed with a patch. I play with a game pad and that works fine for me after some practice and getting used to the physics.

Big Improvement
This game is one of the best sim racing games currently on the market. The update (patch) makes the game much more playable on a controller, which I can see is a common complaint in the reviews here on Amazon. You will have to tinker with the settings to get it to where you like it, but at least this time around there are detailed descriptions of what each setting does, unlike the first Project Cars. I enjoyed this game so much, I bought a Thrustmaster T150 to play it, and let me tell you, playing on a force feedback racing wheel takes this game to a whole new level. The graphics are good, but there are better looking racing games (Gran Turismo Sport, Drive Club), and the selection of cars is strong, but not crazy huge like the Forza games or the PS3 Gran Turismo games, but you should be able to find a car you like. There are some noticable omissions, like there are no Subaru or Peugeot cars, but overall a pretty rounded selection with most racing disciplines represented. The track list is amazing, and each track has been modeled as close to their real life counterpart as is currently possible in a video game. The weather is also a major improvement, with rain, snow, and fog all affecting races, plus full day/night cycles. Overall the gameplay, car selection and track list are great. The career mode is better than PCars1, but still kind of basic. Not all cars are treated with the same love, as force feedback is modeled on most cars, but some are just lacking. The graphics have minor glitches, and the frame rate can slow down at times. Not a perfect game, but a huge improvement over the original game, and a great option for sim racing fans. I'm having a ton of fun playing it, and I highly recommend getting a force feedback racing wheel.

to great, to overheating
The summary of my impression of this game would be "PHENOMENAL". I must say, though, that my use if this game is restricted to one aspect of it: solo laps. I have no interest whatsoever in racing, career, or any of that stuff. I'm only there for one thing: to drive fast around various circuits in different cars, and this game delivers 100%. I don't have any actual experience driving a BMW M6 GTLM on the Spa circuit, so I can't say how realistic the game is, but I find the degree of detail quite impressive nevertheless. The tracks will change their characteristics, depending on how much rubber is already on, the tires will change their behavior, from cold, to great, to overheating. I have a Thrustmaster wheel and the force feedback works great. I could play this game all day, but keeping close attention to the handling, adjusting your braking and acceleration points, and all that takes a lot of mental effort. Just as you would expect from a real track experience. This is not a game to play with a controller. You probably could, but I don't think you should. You're not going to have a good time, and you won't get much of what this game has to offer.

Great Racing, after a few adjustments
I picked this game on a black friday sale for $25 on PS4 pro and I use a standard ps4 controller and overall I think its great game. I'll start off by saying I'm more of casual race fan, I have played all forzas and GTs and the 1st project cars, but I don't play on the hardest difficulty or use a steering wheel. My positives in this game I'd have to say are the graphics and the dynamic weather are really great though not perfect, there is minor screen tearing but performance stays at 60fps or just slightly below, the sound is awesome and there are alot of races you can do, I've currently done about 10 cups. As I mentioned before I play on a controller, once I made a few adjustments it was smooth sailing. My negatives would have to be that sometimes the AI can be dumb but for the most part its good, and the difficulty can be negative or positive depending on who you are as its not meant for a casuals, I adjusted mine to the 50 which medium and the AI was tearing me apart, once I brought it down to about 30-40 it was challenging bit I could still place in the top 5. But I'd recommend it for sure if youre a race fan. Also make sure to update, I played this game before it updated and it was and absolute mess
