A kerf refers to the total width of saw blade teeth or put a different way the width of the cut made by the saw blade in the material being cut. For example the 'normal' kerf of a table saw blade is 1/8th inch although some blades are made with narrower kerf that wastes less wood. A hack saw blade's kerf is generally narrow enough so that the material that is lost should not be significant.

Yes. Grab the saw by the handle and put the round end of it in the palm of your hand. Put the other end of the saw downward on a hard non-slippery surface. Push downward and grab the handle-end of the blade with your other thumb and index finger and pull the blade outward. To put the new blade in, first be sure the blade's teeth are facing outward and in the direction you want them to cut, either on the forward stroke or the backward one. Then hook the proper end of the saw blade into the front of the saw. Push the saw downward as described earlier and clip the other end of the saw blade into the handle end of the saw. You're ready to rock-n-roll!

Q: Where are they manufactured?

Mine are printed : Eclipse, Spear & Jackson, 71-114R (14 tooth blades). They are printed at the bottom of the package : Made in Sheffield England. My package is Blue with Red stripes.

For cutting metal, you will want either 24 or 32 TPI. 14 tpi is more for wood or plastics if you don't need a smooth finish. As Rowdy pointed out, 14tpi will leave you a rough finish.
